Resin lips? I've smoked 100s of joints withOUT filters and never gotten that nor heard of it.
But as for your question, i choose without. if you roll a joint properly, i see no need for a filter...just means more work + less space for more weed.

I just pack my joints so tight that the weed doesn't move when I'm hittin it. My friends put cardboard filters in and it makes it taste like I lit up a piece of cardboard. Nasty.

Always roll it with a filter tip, you arent left with roaches, its not any more complicated, you have something to hold on to, and you get better hits. I dont know why anyone wouldn't roll in tips.

Cause they taste gross and they are a waste of time when I'm trying to get high. I roll really good j's w/o a filter anyway. Thats just me though. To each his own.

You don't burn the tips! They taste no different than any other joint, I really don't see any downside to having a tip.

The filter doesn't have anything in it, it's just a hollow tube of card paper, look I have a book of them. And if you can't roll a joint make a pre-roll and pack it with weed, this is how they make such prefect joints in coffee shops. I watched two guys churn out like 5 joints a minute because one guy would make these tubes and the other one would use a plastic straw to stuff them with weed. ALWAYS TIP!

Not getting resin lips isn't the only advantage. It wastes weed to not have a tip since without one you're always left with roaches. But you're right it's very much a personal preference. Even though it might not be as efficient I kind of understand why people roll without tips, it's either a habit or just that they've never rolled with one and don;t see the point.
