Good for them. The group was well within their rights to protest in this way. It was an orderly, peaceful protest. The presence of weapons is not a presence of violence of violent intentions. How many police had weapons in the general area that same day? If there were any threats made by the protestors you can rest assured that the secret service would still have the citizens in custody.

Why are we all so frightened by guns. Not to long ago everyone carried a weapon of some sort, and most carried a gun. Nowadays we have murders, rapists, and pedophiles walking free while law abiding citizens dying in their own homes afraid to defend themselves.

It is a good question.

I think we weren't meant to be scared of our government, but the other way around... at the same time... I think about Kent State... it would seriously divide this country. The implicit threat is a bad sign.

Its not health care per say, its everything that is happening. The citizens are tired of having their rights stripped away, tired of representatives voting the opposite of their constituents. Sometimes you just have to exercise your rights to get the message across. And that message is " We the People will no longer lay down and be used as pawns and infinitely large piggy banks for the government anymore. Government will take responsibility for its shortcomings and mistakes or the citizens will take back our government by force if need be."

And I asked this before and was ignored, but I would like to ask again.

Can anyone tell me what rights they have had taken away? Because in my life I have not noticed one right that I don't have that I did at anytime during my life.

So true, but for good or bad we aren't a democracy, we're a republic. And as a free society and people, we have the inherent right and responsibility to revolt and shrug off any government that becomes tyrannical. You don't really think that we've evolved so much as human beings that an open revolution is out of the question do you?

All those uneducated, irrational, emotional citizens that the left likes to insult, well those people are a VAST majority of this country. They also own most of the guns, and make up probably 80-85% of our military. Sure there are progressives in the military, but most of them are there for the college money, it's the hard core patriots that will have to choose to follow the orders of an individual they feel is destroying the foundation of the country they swore to protect or side with their family and friends. If they get pushed too far, which way do you think they will go?

Not saying it will happen, but I think it is the height of stupidity to believe it couldn't. That possibility is EXACTLY why we have the 2nd amendment. The politicians are SUPPOSED to fear the populace, it is that fear which keeps them from becoming tyrants. And make no mistake, a great many already feel they are.

The progressives may indeed be able to subvert the intentions of the Constitution, they may be able to evade it's restrictions, they may even stack the supreme court with legal activists and they may be able to do it all legally, all the while congratulating themselves on their brilliance. The problem they have, and are so egotistical and elitist that they don't consider, is the founders of this country KNEW this would happen. They knew it would happen and they knew it would take revolution to restore the Republic. It's only a question of when.

I think that there are a lot of problems.

1. The president isn't really the problem. It is congress.

2. There are a lot of racists who consider themselves patriots.

3. The cover of many gun carriers makes it impossible to find one nut.

4. We don't have 6 snipers for every citizen who chooses to exercise their rights.

5. People are feeling powerless and desperate. This is not tyranny... yet. The tendency is to overstate the circumstance and become emotionally invested in the circumstances YOU view as the root of evil. Hyperbole lends itself to an imbalanced mind who personifies "Hitler" with a man who is clearly nothing like him.

6. Healthcare reform is not the reason to show a force of arms. If the majority of Americans are against it... stop paying your taxes. That will unbind everything. They cannot arrest you all. Fuck threatening force to ONE MAN, who cannot enact law.

7. The threat of force lends itself to the use of it. "Do not draw your weapon unless you intend to kill a man." Basically this means do not brandish a weapon for show, be prepared to use it.


This is not the way. When I saw the first guy, I thought it was awesome to take that ballsy stand, alone. Groups of armed people is ugly.

I am anti-Obama. I am anti-liberal. I am anti-socialist.

If any fucker threatens the life of MY commander in chief, I will do anything necessary to kill that fucker. The constitution was not advocating the use of arms against the president. That is why there is a system for impeachment. The right to bear arms was to protect yourself from the FORCE of government, which is the military.


You do not threaten the President. The fact that he is half black WILL have racist implications, even if you do not.

Your first statement is myth. Besides, 'not too long ago' "everyone" was taking turns buggering their own offspring.

I suppose those pedophiles would be on the run if the little tykes were all in a well armed and regulated militia . . .

4th, 5th, 8th, 9th, 10th Amendments have been violated
1st Amendment has been violated
2nd Amendment has been violated
