250W Purple Kush Flower Log (Pics)

My first test flowering under 250W hps
Purple Kush clone (yeah, we'll see)

Vegged under 26w cfls and T5 since early July.
Topped twice, supercropped, and obviously LST.
2Gal pot FFOF soil. FF TB/BB and H2O2
BB last watering 1/2t 2L water.

250W hps 100cfm cooling fan top mounted
Glass lens. Hortilux 250W 30,000ish lumens.
Put into 12/12 on 8/15
First 2 pics last day of 24/0
Last 3 are on 8/19
Updates as it goes, when i can.
Let me know what you guys think.

Yeah, I just switched to 12/12 4 days ago.
It's like a log from start of flower to harvest.

I've only flowered cfl so far, and yes lst helped all my yeilds.
My last Kush flowered under T5 and cfls in a 3.7L pot for 8 weeks. Dry weight of buds with all stems removed, before i put them in curing jars, 39.6g. Main dried out around 16.8g.
I'm hoping for more with hps. This girl vegged longer than i would with cfl, plus it was a clone so we'll see.
Just trying to figure out how close i can get my light to the canopy.

seems like this grow will produce more bud then your last one now that your using hps

i only got 2 cfls over my babies(bagseeds) in a rubbermaid nd i plan on getting 2 more cfls added to it and now i'm thinking for the flowering phase, maybe i can add a few more cfls...or maybe a T5...hmm i'll have to think on that..lol

Only one this time.(39.6g dried) i've had 2 under my old flower setup and avg. 2.5oz total dried from two.
I'm not gonna guess how much more until i see how many colas i end up with. I got at least 3 looking good now, maybe 4.

Ohh nice, well this one is lookin pretty good.
Just hearing about it makes me excited about how mine will turn out

With these type pots, paperclips are awesome.
When the colas start to grow a bit, ill add
garbage bag twist ties to keep everything as even (canopy) as i can.

loving this! i dont have any paper clips, but i did have some metal wire for hanging pictures and what not -- worked out very well

It's like looking at one of my plants.
Thats a cool idea, the cam. I tend to erase pics as i post em here, not that it worries me. Just ocd about hd space.

So it's day 9 of 12/12, lots of pistils.
Bud tops starting to form.
LST is working better than ever.
Supercropping and topping is the way to go.
Good pic of the 4 main branches.
Picture of a few bud tops i'm letting grow up
closer to the glass in my hood.
So far no heat issues affecting the buds.

I'm all abt getting them to grow horizontally and keeping that nice even canopy on my 8 girls under a 250w too, got lotsa pics in my journal.. how far are you keeping your light from the tops?

I love the horizontal too.
Right now my lights 11" from the canopy. I could go closer, but even at 11" the buds are adding weight daily,
but still bleaching a few leaves.
I'm looking into getting a light spreder.

As this is my first grow with hps, and i've pretty much screwed every part of this grow, i'm not stressing too much. Still looks like i'll get >1.5 oz.

I couldnt fit 8 in my area unless they were real small. I just plan on 2-3 and a harvest once a month or so.
I'll look up your grow for sure. I got more recent pics too in a new post. pics at 35 days female almost 6wks 12/12

250w with a glass hood you can get up to 18-12 inches away depending on how much light your plants can handle.

and i wouldnt worry about yielding more if you've only flowered with cfls before. before i moved to cali i would pull a qp minimum (depending on the strain) from 6 sqaure feet with a 250w, granted i had a sog and not 1 good size plant
