I think the OP said they hit harder because there is a LOT more distance for the smoke to travel when it's all kinked up compared to a straight tube...

Along with the practically spill proof I would like to mention that you CANT get bong water splash

This, I love. In a straight bong if I hit too hard (got me some good lungs, i'm a master scuba diver) I can get some of that bong water splashed up on my lips/in my mouth but with my zong I can hit as hard as possible and dont have to worry

I hit my zong hard!!!I was at a frinds house, some chick passed me her bong, I filled it up milky, pulled the stem and ripped hard....mouth full of bong water!!!!everyone thought i was a lightwait and was puking or something. lol lmao i told them they had too much water in there, but they said i was the first to do that.
