Need help with Soil Sog setup

Need some advice on this new setup I want to get going within the next 1.5-2 months,
Currently my setup is as follows:
I have a bedroom, have shut off using wood as a frame, and black plastic. inside this 4.5'(depth) x 12'(width) x 8' (high) tent, I have 2 600w HPS ligts that are vented into my attic via In line duct (booster) fan.

I plan on running the intake from the other side into the attic so as to pull in clean air and blow out clean air (sealed room) I have a window mount AC that isnt in use right now (as my vent is sucking air out of the room right now) but I can use it as soon as I get that intake ran to the attic.
I also have a 10" 650 CFM fan that is not being used, and I might be trading it for a 6" 450 CFM fan and filter. So that is an option as well. Would I be better off keeping the 650 cfm fan, or is it overkill (remember heat wont be an issue, the lights are indipendantly cooled, the other vent is only to cycle in new air to controll humidity)

Right now I have a few plants in there that were vegged for 2.5 months. In this new set up, I plan on running mabye 100-150 clones straight into flower.
I plan on soing this SOG grow in soil or a soil less mix.
Any suggestions? I have been growing with a 60/40 happy frog/perlite mix, and using with good results. Would this be good for SOG as well? also i was thinking of using 54gal Rubbermade totes either full of soil, or full of growbags (to keep the roots seperate) I thought about getting a 4x8' flood table and getting a shitload of 6" square pots, but I think that would be a pain, and thought they would be too small anyhow. Any thoughts?
Would either way be good?
Any suggestions at all? And how many mother plants would I need to cut about 100-150 clones off of?

Access may be a bit tough if you use a 4x8 tray but I was talking to the local shop owner and he had thought of using one with the 6" square pots.
He said it held 96 so that is pretty close. and of course ebb and flow is pretty simple setup.

I am sure there are a lot of different approaches that would work but with a container that small you would have to feed at some point I imagine anyway.
I prefer soil-less and control the nutes throughout. Coco is gaining popularity. There are some good post regarding Coco and other methods. Read up and see what appeals to your sense of gardening.

I am a little hesitant to go back to hydro after my one run with DWC buckets. I'm sure ebb and flow is a lot easier to deal with, but those DWC buckets were one problem after another. And I like the end product I have been getting using the organic approach (Not to mention how cheap it is in contrast to using nutes from the hydro shop)
And as far as using the 4X8 table, I have been starting to think the same thing with the size issue. I am leaning more towards using like 10-20 rubbermaid tubs with 10 plants or so each. What would be a good place to start as far as gallons of container per plant? I have seen some where people use containers as large as 54 gal rubbermaids. But It seams that if it would work in 6" square pots, that I wouldnt really need something as big as 54 gal.
Mabye I could even use the shallow sterlite tubs?
Another thing I was thinking, was that the plants might stretch more if provided a deeper grow bed, do you think this could be aniother reason to go with a shallower grow bed?

well its going to be at least a month until my mothers are big enough to take that many cuttings off of, so i am thinking of doing a mini sog grow, mabye 1 tub with 10-20 cuttings in it. What size tub should I use? and would it work ok to veg them in red cups for a week, then put them in the tub to flower? or should I go straight to flower?

I shoot for between a qtr and a half oz a plant. Veg clones for two weeks once they root. Right now I have a batch of single colas coming out that I'm going to compare weight against a batch of supercropped.
Never tried multiple plants in the same container

So you take the clones, root them. Then veg for two weeks? Do you take more clones from these clones to continue the process or do you just take more cuts from the mother plant? I want to start this but the details are alittle cloudy at the moment

I think usualy with SOG you would need to keep mothers, even after two weeks they would be too small to take cuttings off of. Or at least I would assume so.

I too wanted to do SOG in soil but after a lot of research I decided that SOG is probably best meant for a hydro op. Trying to water that many plants evenly just seemed like a pain to me. Thats why I decided to use the LST method instead you may want to check that out first before you commit to SOG. SOG and LST are similar in that you keep your plants short however with LST all you are doing it tying your plants down so that they grow horizontally instead of vertically thus allowing your entire plant to get the most light it possibly can. The only issue that I ran into with the smaller pots is that the plants are a little more prone to nute burn. The clones are about 6-8" when put into the flower room and usually double in size. When I'm running single colas, they get lollypopped (in the second and third week branches are removed from the bottom 2-4 nodes). When I supercrop (pinch the tops) branches only get removed from the bottom 1-2 nodes.
I'm in the process of building a new and larger flower room. Finishing the framing and wiring as we speak! Should be up and running by this weekend. I have larger square pots for that room. I have three strains of subcool's seeds on the way that I'm pretty excited about as well.

It's better to work with moms as you can take larger cuttings and also the cuttings have not started to flower yet. You can use the branches of your clones if you take them within the first week of flower if you wanted to, though. Peace

ok, so soil sog is OUT. Hydro is IN, I picked up 2 4x4 flood trays, and pumps. And I got some milk crates to put them on. I also picked up 20 8" cocotec grow baskets (I think I can fit 16 per tray) But I wanted to grow more then 16 plants per tray, so I am thinking I might just grow in rockwool, or rockwool hydroton, any thoughts anyone?

I am going to a 3.75" net pot this time. I used a 6" last time and don't see why I can't get close to same results. We shall see. As far as using organic nutes goes though with smaller pots you are going to have roots coming out all over the place. The Cannazym I am using keeps the roots nice and neat.

And I have been drain to waste so far. I thought I was going to put spray nozzles in but after thinking about it I am just going to go drip or hand water again.
