I am using 2 125w CFL's do I really need both for this seedling or can I switch it down to 1 till the later stages in the plants development?.

use just one for right now during the seedling stage they dont need to much light put the other one in when shes a good week to week n a half

they both look like they are cool white. this is the correct light colour for seedlings and vegging, but when you start to flower and bud...u will need the warm white colour, if u can bring one back to the shop swap it for a warm white colour, they look more orange then blue.. if you get get both light spectrums it should benefit your plant.

and do u have any intake or exhaust fans in your box? u should add an exhaust at least to vent the warm air out, and remember to put the exhaust fan at the top as warm air rises....

already have my ventalation sorted while it isnt the best im working on a better system, I have lights on the ready for my flowering 10 watts less but that wont make any significant diffrence.

thanks mate, one last question, I have been doing them 18/6 but most recently I heard seedlings should be 24/0, whats the right thing to do? the 18/6 cycle ive been doing or 24 and 0.

There's no way that it really "should" be. The 24 hours is just going to allow you faster vegetation......and therefore more flowering. 18/6 works well for me.

stick with the 18/6 less power consumption and 24/0 doesnt make much more of a difference. I guess in the long run it will but i read somewhere that plants only use 18-20 hr's of sunlight a day. But not for sure. 18/6 works well for me though

in my first grow i ran them 24/0 for 6 weeks and they seemed to stall but when i dropped to 18/6 they picked right up, id do 24/0 for a week or 2 at most then 18/6 if for nothing else the power savings

A seedling needs very little light. A 24w would do fine, and not dry the air, with is a big drawback using a 125w light like that. Back it off to 6" away at least
