you guys tried the lucas formula? I am trying it soon with pure blend pro, just using bloom, but I want to try it with flora nova bloom. Just using bloom the whole way. For the three part he uses micro and bloom. The N in the micro and the bloom I think I keep reading is more than enough. I have not met anyboddy else doing it so I am not sure if this is all correctly read. But that guy knows his GH and ebb and flow! "ask lucas"- google it.

You are going to need the cal/mag if you are just using pbp, unless maybe if you are using tap water.

I dont want to Hijack, yeah, I read the ins and outs, still learning, confused on some points, lot of good info for any ebb and floer. Here ya go http://www.cannabis-world.org/cw/index.php I think at the page I am on they all think flora nova grow to start then with every add back start substituing the bloom form. Yeah, PBP I do need that cal mag bad! I use ro in the worst part of the states waterwise. Hardwater micro fixed my shit tapwater wise in the pre-ro machine days. Anyway, not trying to Jack just letting you know OP that this thread has me heading back to hydro I think.

does anyone know of a reason for the lower leaves to start to yellow a bit? i'm think maybe some type of deficiency. the temps are from 75 - 80, maybe once a day they reach 85. pH is steady at 5.5-6. nothing has changed with their environment (that i've noticed).

I think that I overfertilized them and they got stunt for almost a week. I flushed them for the last two days and they seem that they're getting back. I'm gonna keep feeding them with 1/4 strainght solution till they'll completely recover.
The thing was that I added ONLY half of what is written on the back of the nutrients bottle (General Hydroponics) and the ppm went to almost 1400. I think somethings wrong with these nutrients.

So my ladies are in the third week of flowering today. 2 out of 4 plants showed some pistils yesterday

I also switch to 400w HPS in stead of those 16 CFL that I had on top.

Subscribed. Plants and setup look great! Got a few sativa's started too and if I ever get off my lazy ass to snap some pics I'll start a journal. I wouldnt worry about the burns on the leaves, once you have the mix back to where they like it you will be fine.

Good thing about hydro is the adjustments you make happen alot faster so it's faster getting them back on track as long as you dont add too much. One of my soil plants decided she wants more than everyone else and I have been chasing for a week now trying to catch her up without burning her. Havent caught up yet but she looks better and hasnt burned.

Just remember when you want to raise the nute level, do it slowly in small incriments of 50-100.

So this is the most ridiculous shit I have ever seen. These plants grow for a week, they get stunt for a week .... and so on.
They got back for a couple of days and they grew a lot. NOW, for about ..... 2-3 days, they are ...... doing nothing again.....
NOTHING HAS CHANGED IN MY ROOM BUT ..... SOMETHINGS NOT RIGHT.....

ANY SUGESTION?

How has the feeding been going, still at 800 ppm? Are you using alot of calmag?

so i dropped the ppm at 800 at nothing. i dropped it even more to 680. and .... still nothing. This is so fucking frustrating. why are these atupid bitches stunted???????

Originally you were at 800, then brought it up to 1200 and they burned. You brught it bake to 800 and then lowered it again?

Thats why they are stressed man. Whatever burns the leaves will not go away so concentrate on keeping the burns from happening. 800 is not enuff and you already found out 1200 is too much so bring the nutes up to 900 and let them be for a few days. You are under feeding them.

Another thing is whats the ppm's on the tap water and are you using calmag?

I think I know what your problem is but you need to tell me about the water and calmag. Oh and whats the tap water Ph?

I'm not using tap water. I use filtered water from Meijer. The PPM of that water is 250 and PH 6.5
After I mix the nutrients (Grow-0ml; Micro-5ml; Bloom-10ml/gl) the ppm goest to 700-750.
I think I'm gonna keep it like this for a week. I saw today some new growth.
I can't keep it higher than 800 because everytime when I raised it they got stunt. I'll keep it like this for at least a week and after that I'll prob add a lil more.

I'm not using any cal/mag. I use only water and GH nutrients

Ok, I know one of the probs cause I just climbed out of the woods with it myself. Your Micro and your water have calcium and together are giving the plants so much calcium that sufur is getting kicked aside and becoming deficient despite being available in your solution. Unfortunately the GH nutes (except hard water micro) were formulated for distilled water with almost none or no ppm. Judging from my last grow the plants seem to use more sulfur during veg and not as much in flower so that combined with getting your ppm right and you will be fine.

When you see the bluish color on the bigger fan leaves along with a light green or yellowing of the youngest leaves starting at the stem and working towards the leaf tip thats a sulfur def. According to books Ive ready and things Ive read on line MJ uses alot of sulfur so watch how much calcium you put in so that you dont lock out the sulfur.

I chased my tail trying to figure this one out for a long time man. Still dizzy. But my plants have responded amazingly since lowering my calcium a bit.

Oh ya, dont over adjust on the PH. Plants will make it fluctuate. As they take in nutes the solution ph rises cause theres less nutes in the solution and when they take in more water the ph lowers cause theres less water. The GH nutes are buffered and it's natural for the ph to fluctuate a bit. Just dont let it get more than .5 out of range and it will be fine.

Try buying distilled water from the grociery storeto use with your micro. You want something with no EC/PPM so that way you have no calcium from your water. You could try the hard water micro from GH or buy an R/O system for your tap water so that you can remove the calcium as well as everything else from it.

Cheapest thing to do would try the hard water micro first to use with your tap water.
