Second Grow, Bagseed

Day 82/54F:
Well it's down to the twins - and while they have also been a learning experience, they are a little better than Droopy was. I don't believe the buds will get much bigger now, but they look nice - even the small buds are loading up with trichs. I think they will be ready in a week, two at most. Even if not they get the axe by then - I've seen the occasional bananna on 'em, and I want them out before the Trainwreck goes in. So - a bit of bud porn for this week.

Thanks! Yeah I'm excited about 'em too - I'm thinking they'll be my best grow yet! I woke up this morning, almost went and germed the next round! lol But I'll be patient - give the 'wreck that extra week.

Well, it's a sad day for the Twins - their time has come. Checked them at lights on tonight, and wow - you wouldn't believe the number of bananas that I swear weren't there yesterday.
Although I know they weren't done yet, a check of the trichs revealed all cloudy with a few scattered amber - so I made the call. Rather harvest them early, than risk contaminating my Trainwreck girls (and Layla) going in there soon.
So - I'm proud to say, that these two bagseed, hermie bitches produced more for me than Droopy did. I weighed the last cola I trimmed (third largest out of four) and it was 11.5g wet. Not too bad. Lots of decent small buds on them, as well. Oh, I got a nice little ball of scissor hash, too!
Interesting that these were supposed to be the same strain, yet look at the stems from the two, and the leaves in the bag - one is bright green, the other so dark purple it looks almost black. Weird or what?
All I know is, no more bagseed for me from here on out - and I hope I can take what I've learned thus far, and keep improving every time.

LOLSure! For your first grow, get some bagseed, plant 50 in a backyard dirt/compost mix and be estatic when 6 pop, stretch 'em like crazy, let a worm munch two of 'em, kill another by consistantly underwatering, of the three remaining keep the female in the middle so the towering males on either side keep the lights farther from her, make sure she's planted in muddy compacted soil, replant her but be sure to attempt a FIM beforehand so the shock nearly kills her, nute burn her, flush her so vigorously that the new soil becomes compacted, let the heat get up in the upper 90's for awhile, leave gnats to munch on her for awhile, use too much molassas and drop the PH to acidic levels to kill all your fan leaves, and viola - you too can grow a few grams!!!lol
All kidding aside - the learning experience was invaluable.

u have sexy buds...esp. to be bagseed. U sure ur neva doin bagseed again? what if yu run across some good smoke and find a seed in the bag? u mean to tell me u wouldnt grow it? lol...i understand tho their to unstable! But very very nice grow.

Thanks! Nope - never doing bagseed again. Hopefully I won't be buying a bag any time soon, lol. But if I do - still no. I'll pay a little bit of money for seeds that I know should not only be good, but female, as well. These did all right though, especially for being harvested a couple weeks early - they aren't the biggest, but they are very, very dense.

I have had real good luck with greenhouse seeds Trainwreck. I got the feminised and all five popped and were healthy plants. I finished that grow and I am now growing there clones. Well, along with Purple Kush.
