what type of hydroponics has he fastest and highest yielding?

I am a first time grower, and i am definantly going to go with some type of hydroponics system: but through my research i have found that there are many different types of hydroponics..you got aeroponics, ebb and flow, deep water culture, and bubbleponics, oh yea and fogponics. But i would like to know from someone with experience which one works best. And by best i mean had the fastest and highest yielding grow.

i gotta agree with homie about a couple soil runs. I know it sounds no fun but seeing how everything happens and knowing what to exspect is a big part. Soil is the easiest starter for sure, aeroponics is a brutal world man. i am not saying your not smart or anything, im saying exsperience is key, things can go bad fast in such a system, like in 5 mins bad. if one mister is clogged, half plant dead, in 5 min. if power goes out, CROP DONE in 5 mins.

try soil for 2 runs and build up some confidence before you go piss money on a aero setup and get frustrasted and give up.:cuss:

But it is the fastest for sure, i have 2 friends in them.

but hey man, try both. have fun with it.
 
Yeah man you go through alot even with lots of reseach you think you know but its just like my name "Trial and Error" I have grown once then unfourtunatly had to cut them down before any bud was on them but the second one thats going on now is working great and I have been through LOTZ learning how to clone im not even gonna lis lol but you should start soil and then go hydro for sure. GOOD LUCK!

I had a system like his, worked great. Now I have a drip system, works great. I can't tell the difference at all. Drip is simpler though, as I don't have to clean sprayers any more.

Just make sure your container is light proof, this mistake of mine made DWC anything but simple when I tried it
 
not really. i mean they will live thru the day as long as you can check on them...

i run two systems and 3 pumps each with dual outputs.... one pump dedicated to each DWC then i split the other pump and run one line to each DWC so therefore two pumps would have to fail before i would have no oxygen in the water.
 
go hydro! dont mess around with soil, hydro is dead easy. We set up a small cupboard for a mate of mine the other month, it was simply two identical tubs - one at the bottom of cupboard for res, one sitting in a shelf for the plants. The top one had heaps of holes drilled in bottom so the water flows back to res. All we had to do was rig up a simple drip line on a pump and fill the top tub with rockwool slab. No drain fittings or tub outlets.

Dead easy! My mate swore he was too dumb for hydro and didnt want to try cos he was afraid of fucking it up. 11 weeks later he pulled over 11 oz for his first grow (600w hps in only 90cmx45cm x cupboard). All he had to do was pH every 1 or 2 days and dump res and add water plus canna A+B every 2 weeks at canna's ml/L instructions - no EC stick needed.

Also using rockwool you get time to notice a pump malfunction before it dries out, somewhat like soil.

Many people think hydro is tricky at first, but really if you were growing WELL in soil it would be more of a fuck around then in hydro as you would still be adjusting soil pH's and shit and not really getting everything spot on.

With hydro you can do a really simple set up with just A+B nutes (maybe rizo and cannazym (maybe maybe pK)), as long as ventilation + temp is adequate and you pH res, you are GUARANTEED decent results!
 
It seems like the main concern in this topic is over the same failures you'd face as a novice or experienced grower. Equipment failure and power outages aren't dependent on your skill level.

Seems like it'd be really hard to mess up a dwc as long as you followed the directions.
 
damn thanks for all your replies guys i appreciate them all. Well im not that much of a noob, i have an idea whats going on because i have a lot of medical friends living out here in oregon, and have seen a lot of trial and error that they have gone through that ive helped them re-calibrate. I figure the sooner i start trying to figure out aero the better, that way i can get my techniques dialed in. do any of u guys have any experience with stinkbuds diy aero/ cloner set ups?
 
Well I personaly tried DWC first, and had issues with it. Switched to dirt and did okay. And now I have switched back to hydro, but ebb and flow this time. Ebb and flow, is hands down, the least time consuming and easiest out of the three. I would highly recomend it if gowing with hydro. good luck.

]Yeah would agree E & F is far less time consuming as I've recentlly seen one in action. Only concern with it maybe if 1 of em struggles you end up treating allof em, or maybe you E & Fguys experienced different .would welcomeyour finding as may change to E & F if is asgoodas i've read.

I ran several systems head-to-head; DWC, Ebb + Flow, and StinkBud's system (I also did soil, but the results really didn't compare), out of all 3, Stink's system was by far the healthiest looking set of plants in the bunch. Not only did they outgrow and out yield the other systems, the ease of maintenance made the entire experience very enjoyable.
