rollitup member busted?? how safe are we?? lets start a tech talk forum......

not going through all 7 pages to say this, and sorry if it was already stated, but rollitup deletes absolutely everything upon logout. Ip, cookies, cache, everything.

ya it might be time to let this thread go...... a total rat rolled on this guy. and if the jacksonville police were going to waste time hunting people on RIU they'd have popped someone big with at least 50 plants, not 1. and peeps would be goin down left and right on here..

it's not even that... there's no way a bureau would sit down, and trace all of RIU's members' IP's. Then contact each of the members local police to notify them of what's going on. There's like what? 2000 users on right now alone? And that's only this site.. and why would cops only pick this site, not ICM? or others? stop buggin' and actually think for a second guys....

true story though.... last thursday i tried logging into my account and couldnt cuz it said someone tried accessing my account 15 mins prior and that was the only time i had got on the enternet that day... and couldnt log in the rest of the night even after changing a new password... and 2 days later when i logged in all my favs i had set up wouldnt read... said links couldnt be found and now today everything is???

haha people are still going on about this. the guy was an idiot posting his stuff all over the internet with his name and where he lived. its as simple as that really. if there was some big goverment conspiracy to bust people on here i think theyd go a little bigger then some random guy in jacksonville with 1 plant in his closet

I don't think it's about a government conspiracy but if I worked for the govt I would be looking at sites like this
for the largest grow operations in states that aren't very accepting where cultivation is concerned.
Remember ther is a war on drugs lol. You got less than 10 I wouldn't worry.
Don't kid yourself there are govt agencies that have people online 24-7 monitoring sites like this.
Not necessarily looking to bust you.... just monitoring.

I have to agree. Be careful and don't talk to the police if you get a visit. Tell them you want a lawyer and then keep your mouth shut. Posting pics may not get you busted but if you get caught by other means it could be evidence against you. A little paranoia is a good thing. :blsmoke:

anyone else get that gateway error 502 today? I was locked out for about 20 min getting that error over & over.
Are they still updating the site?

Parannoia is a good thing doc111 tell that to that asshole on the grow room setup page who wants to know how to steal power, $400,000/year worth from his neighbor. lol, although that post might be deleted by now.

why not just make 2 profiles one for unincriminating postings you can use at your home (grow location) and one for your hard core bud porn Just get an old laptop put in a different hard drive (new / different hard drive = different IP) then u can go down to any place that has free wifi sit in your car outside and post till your hearts content what ever you want with out worry of ever getting "tracked" just remember to never log on to your home network with that laptop this is not rocketsurgery people

I actually have never logged in from my home computer.
