here's a blue mystic that i harvested a few months back. nice clean buzz, i liked it... wish i had some left....

it was grown in mg organic mixed with perlite at 10 to 1. i mostly use fox farm's ferts.

I didn't get your picture kevin. how was the taste of your mystic. I keep hearing it described as a berry taste. I ordered some fox farm organic soil today and found a local place that has perlite. Now all i need is to figure out what ferts to go with, there's so damn many

i water every 2-4 days...same as soil... theres enough soil to hold moisture yet enough perlite to give lots or aeration.

I went away for a couple days and these babies came back to life. I also got my foxfarm soil but haven't had time to transplant yet.

This is my bagseed girl at week 8 of flowering

they are looking great. i would hold off on transplanting until they are ready to go into larger pots. which fox farms soil did you get?

I got the organic. I figured since they were already in an organic type soil it would be an easier transition for them. I still haven't gotten perlite but i'll put that in the transplant for sure when i do them.

Misting is a good idea during vegetative stage. It is just not a good idea to mist heavily during light period unless you have some means to dry the leaves before they get burn. Do you check soil pH and the pH of your water regularly? Also what is the moisture level of your soil? Remember it should be close to dry on top, moist in the middle part and close to wet or wet at the bottom (not too wet tho). Also good luck with your grow.
Sorry, water being "magnified" by light and thus burning plants is an old wives tale. If this was true the 105 degree jungles in the tropics would be burnt to a crisp with a 1 min cloud burst and this is where many Sativa strains come from. Water does not magnify light, it spreads it. Plus, it just goes against all horticultural knowledge and science.

My girls are doing alright now. I noticed that one of them has real broad leaves while the other has thinner leaves. I read about plants showing a dominant trait when there is an indica/sativa hybrid, is this what's happening or is it improper growth?

i think you over watered!!
do you mean initially or in my most recent pics?

Finally picked up some perlite tonight and got some rooting powder too. still have awhile before i feel comfortable cutting my plants as they're only about a week out of being almost dead. from what i've read they need a few more nodes of growth before cloning too.

I transplanted 2 of my 3 plants today. They got put into foxfarm organic soil with perlite mixed in. I also moved them into my "veg" room. I rearranged the lights to give them the best exposure i could and they are getting both 6500k and 2700k spectrum from cfl's. There is no heat issue so i figured more lights are better.

is it possible to get the lights closer to the plants or the plants closer to the light? distance away from the light can make a huge difference in growth rate. i mean sure, you can get a decent growth rate from 3-4 inches away but an inch or two away(or closer, mine are usually only a few cm away if i can) will be much better imo. lighting looks alright, but like you said more is always better if possible.

yeah i can definately get the lights closer. they're probly about 3 inches away now but i'll drop them down lower.

Everything is still going well with the plants. I can't tell how the clones are doing yet. They aren't dead though so that's good. My one plant, "Forrest Gump", is growing out of control. it's strong as hell and bushing out big time. It literally grew like a foot in two weeks. I'm thinking of toping it or something similar just to slow it down a little so i don't have space issues.

Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations on what to do with it?

looks like your girls made 100% recovery!!!!! yea!!! i would just cut the plant to meet your height restrictions or maybe tie her sideways with some string.

I ended up topping that plant yesterday. There were more advantages to doing it than not. I got another clone, I'll get two colas, and i'll slow it's growth down a little. It is literally growing inches a day. The height isn't an issue now but it would be after another month of veg and then flowering could put it through my ceiling.

here's a pic of the plant after i topped it and the clone i took.

there's no sign of anything happening with the clones yet. i pulled the humidity dome off because everything was soaked. hopefully it will dry out and show some roots.
