150 Hps

Can somone help me out with some info on a 150w hps. I can buy one from local store from for like 12 dollars, what would i need to run it? Do i need a ballast or just a regular 1 dollar socket?

you would need a ballast to run it . you cant get full 150 mh or hps fairly cheap now like 60$ and up would be better option unless you have electrical knowlage and you could buy a build your own ballast and then buy your own bulb it would cut down on cost.

easiest way is to go to amazon.com and buy the ballast and light together for $70 but like deoss69 said more expansive ones are better cus the ballast isnt attached to the light..less heat..but the $70 ones do work great
