nifty little tactic they have- through the simple use of labels that don't mean anything- to turn the people against each other huh?

Nah, it's not the media that's making this up. The republican party is most definitely taking political advantage of the teabag people. While there seem to be some folks who are genuinely 'libertarians' and hate government whether it be dem or republican, most of them are just your run-of-mill hardcore conservatives who conveniently decided to hate big government the minute government was no longer run by the republicans.

I might be wrong, but the only way to find out would be to go to one of these rallies, get on a soapbox and speak out in favor of ending the drug war, legalizing prostitution and gambling, withdrawing our troops from foreign soil etc. You know exactly what kind of reaction that would elicit among these crowds and I think that's a pretty good indication that the majority of these people or just your average kool-aid conservatives who've jumped on the libertarian bandwagon because it's the hip thing at the moment.

I'm not saying that there aren't people who go to these things who are genuinely libertarian and organized for ron paul last year, but I think it's pretty obvious that most of them are just disgruntled republicans, who just hate obama and don't really care about small government, as long as the government is run by 'conservatives' who spend our tax-money on war and tax cuts for the wealthy rather than giving people access to better eduction and healthcare.

I posted something about Al Gore, stating he was no longer in public office so he was free to make money by any legal means he preferred. Some annonymous airhead, balless prick thinks he is either a Nazi or a Communist. (Either way, he still has a right to make money by any legal means he prefers.)

I've never given negative rep...don't know how to do it. Pretty much not my style anyway. I'd rather just tell someone, that I have a differnet point of view and why I hold that point of view.
I have a question though, how does one know when they have been negative repped?

only members of the elite rolling society can give negative rep.. and i think you can tell if the rep is in black i think.. not 100% sure about it being in black, but it will be in a different color then normal reps, and in the comment column, someone will probably be calling you an idiot instead of saying thank you, lol...

I've never given anyone a negative rep. That includes the time Med-'O'-Mao threatened my life via Private Message, or the time he posted a picture of his short little dick for all in the forum to see (no lie).

Why don't I negative rep people? Because I'm a Libertarian, and as such, I believe that as long as a person isn't violating the rights of another, he/she has the right to debase themselves anyway he/she sees fit. :blsmoke:
 
I don't negative rep people either. But I thought the post was funny for several reason's. First of all, the post implies that "tea bagging" is not only a gay thing, but is anti homosexual hate speech. The reason why the opposition called Tea party members "tea baggers" is obvious. I don't know how cum guzzling makes much sense?
