I can see why you might think this but in fact, I report posts that degenerate into personal attacks and name calling on all the forums. I think riu benefits from pounding it home that you can attack the content of the post all you want, but not the poster. People can call Palin a cunt all they want, they can even call my point of view names, and I never bite back.

Profanity and name-calling are the effort of a feeble mind trying to express itself forcefully.

you have yet to explain what we are all supposed to be afraid of. you said it and you've been saying it for 2 years now. still got nothin', eh?

How can I have been saying it for two years? No-one knew who Palin was 2 years ago. I haven't even been saying it for 2 days, not until this thread. I don't expect any of you on the left to agree with it, but I'll say what I think again.

Palin would be very vulnerable as a candidate. I don't think she will be a candidate for anything. But she has a huge following and is tied with Hillary as the most respected woman in America. She relates well to people and she draws huge crowds. Let's be honest - both parties look for front people who serve as attack dogs and can really whip up their bases. Palin is going to be perfect in that role. She won't have to do trap interviews with Katie Couric and she will be hard to attack since she will hold no position. And when she is attacked, the risk is being run that that will alienate women swing voters.

Now if any of you want to believe the dem party is not aware of this and that they would much rather NOT have her in that role, go ahead. I'm not going to debate that point, wait and see. I believe Palin is going to be a formidable weapon who is being positioned and aimed as we speak. If she were an insignificant nobody with no potential to strike political blows, she would be ignored.

By the way, forthcoming dems I know in the real world agree. They would never say they "fear" her, but they agree she will be a force and more dangerous as a non-candidate. Whether and how well she can be countered remains to be seen, but I don't see how anyone with any political savvy can deny that she will be a forceful player.

You did say "what WE are supposed to be afraid of." In the context what did we mean if not the left? If I posted something about fear of Palin even one month ago, even one week ago, then I stand corrected. But I didn't.

This thread is another example of so many pointless far left diatribes devoid of any discernible or articulable point. It is simply another helping of mindless, baseless, inane yammering of the Left.

Threads such as these should, to anyone paying attention, demonstrate the difference between the logical, well thought out, well articulated, cohesive ideas of the Right, and the mindless inane yammering of the Left. The quality of each side's style of argument should, to any thinking person, be indicative of the writer's intelligence and the quality of his thoughts and opinions.

I think it is reasonable to argue that one choosing sides could and would make the right choice if they based their choice solely on the two styles of communication. This one fact alone speaks louder than the actual words IMO.

Because Sarah Palin has no knowledge of politics. She is merely a pretty face to throw out in front of people.

I`ll be the first to admit Obama is also a celebrity and that's part of the reason he got elected. He also has knowledge of politics, world affairs and common sense.

If Palin is your role model I feel sorry for you. Either your one of those guys who will do anything for a pretty woman or just as airheaded as she is.

She is the hot cheerleader you fuck, than kick her out of the house and make her ride her bike home.

Probably must people can see through Palin's cute smile and charm, to notice she has no other worthwhile qualities.
Coming from someone who sees women as objects to be fucked and ignored? You consider yourself a credible judge of content of character?

So, you hate and despise Palin because she is, by your own assessment, not intelligent enough, and, because she doesn't share your knack for conversing and carrying on about her opinions?

Like you said, the "youtube effect" seems to be in play here...poor saps.

I don't necessarily hate Palin. I can't believe people think she is some second comming for the Republican Party. And that she would do this country any good.

She was used by the Mcain run as some quick way to get votes. And now she is just trying to extend her 15 minutes of fame. And people are lapping up everything she does.

I think it extends down my hatred of people's willigness and need to follow celebrities around knowing every one of their last thoughts. This reminds me exactly of that.

You guys are hopeless. Supporting Sarah Palin is like supporting Grover from Sesame Street.

You watch TV? Or, are you part of the apparatchik? Most of the credulous Palin haters are.
