I think it has more to do with costs..... ppl are trying to get ahead of price increases. I'm sure some are just overbuying for the wrong reasons, but those folks are always wrong so...no difference there.

it seems that some of this is misleading...... many store shelves are mostly "out of stock".. but i've been told by workers that (at least wal mart, americas supercenter) just isnt ordering ammo anymore.... its not that they're getting bought out that quick, they just dont restock it in the first place...

Real unemployment is 22% now . . . . I want my guns when the dollar collapses. Not to protect me from the government but from looters, ect. Even if it does not come to that I think it is better to be safe than sorry.
Why is it ok for cops to have guns but not law-abiding citizens!!?? You see what cops do with guns . . . remember the BART shootings fdd? I know a lady that stood on top of her store during the LA riots and protected her property with a shotgun. One of the few intelligent Californians that owns a weapon, she also became one of the few to not be looted . . .

Clinton was re-elected as well, we have had shit run of guys in the last 20 years. I know that cheap imported ammo was put on hold when Nobama was elected in office, and the USA made stuff jumped in price, plus gun prices went up across the board. All because Nobama said the ruling by the supreme court was not the final say and it is just the being.
Nobama also said let them have there guns, but then his team went after the ammo and reloading gear. I can not believe they want to take a photo copy of my ID at walmart when buying 22lr shells. Even the sportsman warehouse tried that shit as well when I was buying reloading supplies for this last hunting season. i don't know if it went into effect but it is one reason for the ammo sales.
