I don't know about spending $25 for something I made for about 20 cents +the water. I got 6 qts of acid for $9 and a gallon of distilled for $.83 . I only used about 9.4 ounces for a gallon of ph down at $1.03. Amazing but like I said, I'm a cheap bastard. ha

bro I don't know what I'll do if I run out. I guess I'll bag up those other two coolers that are curing. lol
oh well...

But hey, a male wouldn't be so bad. I am actually gonna do some seed runs I think. Maybe with my moms after I've harvested enough clones. We'll see how the moms like these new Perfect Pots 2 gallons.

Ya know, I got me a set of them bloom bulbs. Hmmm?????

But first things first. I've got to separate these guys. Then I'll have 2 trays going 18/6 and start pulling clones for a 12/12 bank in another tray for sexing.

The Hijack crosses are coming along nicely.

So that's pretty much it until I get back around. I'm gonna be ready come spring.

Then we'll strap on our boots and camo and go guerilla style in the bottoms. See ya there.

You know slab I did the same thing with the sulfuric acid. I still hyave a gallon mixed up and alot of acid left. Ive never used it because even though my tap water is around 8 when I add the nutes it drives the pH down to around 5-6. For soil I use 6.5 as my set point so Ive always had to add pH up not down; hence Ive never used pH down.

Like I said I wonder what your source creek water is? Unless its very basic, you wont need that pH down once you add nutes.

Very nice nursery again. What are you going to do when its time to transport all those plants to their homes? That will take some time me thinks.

Thanks guys, I hear ya on the $$$. I don't mind paying top dollar for good tools and equipment but if I can save lots of cash in other areas it helps. I found about pH down.
Scotch Instant Power Drain Cleaner (Black Bottle)
it's nothing more than Sodium Hydroxide and Potassium Hydroxide diluted as an alkaline for drain cleaning. I haven't found a formula for it yet but I'll try finding some of it and experiment.

I'll probably wait until early april, don't want a late frost fucking everything up. I got some Silica Blast (someone recommended and researching it worth a try) that might help. We'll see how long winter lasts...

I guess my nute package isn't so acidic or something. It will drop my ph about .5 from the high 7.9's so I've still been needing to go down. You might be right about the creek water though especially with full strength nutes. Good thing I have a meter now.

No problem on transporting. ext cab trucks are nice for that. about a dozen with a privy curtain and ya never see them. That's about all I want to set out in a spot anyway.

AND, I need to get some new holes ready. I'll be moving to higher ground where I got flooded last year. And always have my eye on a new place or two. hehehe

So gotta go, have another light to hang and move some trays around...

That helped spreading everyone out. I got the tallest ones under their own light and moved the little ones in with the shorter ones.

I'm kinda torn about taking clones now to sex or just flipping to a 12/12 cycle to sex everyone right now. I guess they have time to recover from that. I just don't want to waste time cloning males unless that's the best way to id them. What do y'all think?

I was thinking the same thing driving around with a bunch of bushes in your truck. IDK slab I would clone and sex instead of sex the main plants and then revert. You always stress them when you do that.

Also you dont want a bunch of male clones either. Just take one clone of each unsexed plant , flip them once they are rooted and look for balls and hairs. Maybe a 1 month process. Then you can clone the good cuts and dump the rest. I cant believe you are running low already.

If your pH is lowered by only 0.5 you need to up the strength. Now Im talking about full strength grow and bloom and not clone or seedling strength.

I don't worry about things like that. I've moved full size plants around in 5 gal buckets before. Just lay them down gently if ya have to or bend the tops over if they aren't that tall. I'm more worried about deer and hogs getting them.

Finally got rid of this 8" snow we had. I was wrong about the last snow, it was the Sevendust concert I was going to not the Foo Fighters <that was the one one of those crazy parrotheads ran into my truck since buffet was playing in the adjacent venue, and they'd been margaritavilling it for days....> ha


anyway....after 6 days of 12/12 I've identified 15 females and 10 males. Just the little ones and one JTR have not shown sex. I'm gonna go a couple more days and flip them back to 18/6. The ones that haven't shown then will just have to give up some clones for sexing.

I'm gonna start some more beans tomorrow. I feel like starting some Dairy Queen and Jack-The-Ripper . I'm expecting great things from subcool's seeds. Still can't believe I snatched them early on Black Friday Sale for just $45 per 10 pack.
