hey fred, thanks. well good news for today so far. temp is running at 82 and hum is 23% with the new fan blowing right at the lights 2 hours in to the light cycle, this is great, im so happy, im gonna smoke a bowl right now. LoL. still dont get what happened last night, maybe i ate some stupid for dinner.

i think im gonna move the fan to the other side, that way it will be on the intake side and its kinda in the way right now, more later with pics. heres a pretty cool link for solving problems.

Glad to hear it! Just keep an eye on it 'cause I found mine just crept steadily for the first few hours. I didn't keep running it after 5 or 6 hours 'cause I had to leave for a bit and I want to monitor a full 24 hour cycle before really leaving it alone, haha! I'll try to get a picture later on this evening of what I've got so far. Can't wait to see yours in full swing!

6 hours into this light cycle and the temp is 82, i moved the fan to the back side of the box and all is lookin much better now, i think trimming the hood down helped the most, good job ataxia, thanks. heres a couple pics and 1 of of a weed from the backyard, the weed was only 3" tall and the root was just over a foot long. pretty wild, LoL.

ok, so i got some potting soil with perlite, dont know what kind, just good lookin black soil. found a new germ dome and wet some paper towels with the rain water, checked ph, about 6.2 good for a soil grow from what ive read. will try to get some run off water from the pots before i plant and check the ph. still need my soil tester.

the temps are great for now, a max of 84 all day and running 81/82 for the most part through the light cycle. the dome is in the box right now warming up for the seeds. im shifting through seeds right now to find the best 2. will put them in the dome here in a little bit and then up in the dark on a heating pad. found this chart for telling sex, dont know if will work but gonna try it, more later.

Looking good! Glad to hear your temps have stabilized:) +rep! Just sub'd as it looks like things are just about to begin:weed: I'm only 10 minutes into a test run on my box to see what temps are like with more free flowing air. I really want 8 bulbs, but I think I'm going to have to realize that I just don't have enough room:( I'll be checking in:peace:

glad to hear you got your temps down... what kind of height are you working with

thanks, the size of the box is 48" H x 24" W x 21" D. the bottom of the light bulbs are 10" from the top of the pots. checked reading at 6 am in the morning. temp dropped to a low of 75 and hum went to 32%.

so im still playing with the ice pack idea, all im missing is a 75 cent, 2" elbow to make my little cooler ac unit, so in the meantime, i put the ice pack in front of the intake fan and 2 degrees lower from 84 to 82 and hum was 24% to 25%. things are lookin good, now if the beans would crack, LoL.

cant wait to see some green sprouts. when they get a 1/2" tap root, i will just poke a little hole in the soil and gently put them in with the root down and lightly cover them with a little soil. the soil is still moist from testing out the watering system. then all i have to do is wait some more. LoL. heres a few pics.

The temps are the same, a max of 84, I now feel I have the heat problem solved. Dropped to a low of 75 degrees last night.

This has all been with the light at 11". 6:30 pm, I have now lowered it to 8" and the temp has stayed at 84. 9:30 pm, temp is still at 84 and hum is 21%, so this is where I will start when I put the germed seeds in.

Just checked on the seeds and no sign of a tap root yet, it has been 24 hours since I started them, more later on them. I know all the pics seem the same, but I'm just trying to get this temp thing right, plus I'm bored out of my mind right now, LoL, sorry.
