What size planters are you using? I have some 6" ones with slits in the middle/bottom that came with my system and wondering if they'll handle a short indo (3-4").

With your sprouts, how soon did you have them in your flood system?

I have 3 nice looking sprouts about a week old and I am wondering how soon can you get them in? I would be using 3" rockwool cubes and hydroton. Got a 2x4 table and a nice 400w MH.

Thanks so much, Im attempting my first medical grow, very nervous :)

A few new pics. After adding nutes the new girlies started shooting up nice.

Hey buddy.

I also have 6" pots. I moved the sprouts to the flood system when their 2nd leaf set started growing. I didnt add nutrients the first week in the flood system. At the start of the second week I eased them into the nutes. Only gave them a 1/4 of what the chart said. At the start of the 3rd and the rest of the way through, I feed them 3/4 of what the chart says. In flower I feed the Bud XL and Shooting Powder at normal dosage.

Id suggest using rapid rooters or root riots instead of rockwool. MUCH better!!

Hey man I hear ya, its very nerve racking..lol. Let me tell you this, DONT OVER THINK THINGS. Your planting a seed, providing light, water and food. When you start over thinking things, thats when you get into problems. Another thing, Dont Panic!! lol. If you see slight yellowing in leaves, or drooping leaves, stay calm and ask questions. You got all of us here.

Good Luck buddy. I'll be watching :bigjoint:

Hey buddy,

I got the H&G feed chart when I bought the nutes. On my first batch I followed it exactly. The only problem was, it was a little too strong. I cut it down a bit until I stopped seeing nute burn. When I found the right doseage, Ive stuck with it and its been great.

I have 30 gallon resevoirs. I use 120ml of each Aqua Flakes A & B. I also use 30ml of root excelurator. Its been great!!

You say your plants are looking good, just really green? Im confused. Thats a good thing. Unless your implying that they are extremely LIGHT green (almost yellow)

Hit me back and let me know.

I did up them until I found the plants comfort zone which seems to be where Im at now. Its all about learning your plants. They'll tell you how much they want, and theyll also let you know when they are overfull. I can tell you this....In my last week of Veg I was feeding them much more than you are. Starting week 3, is when I believe they were getting 120ml of A&B and 30ml of root excel.

Are u able to upload some pics?

and the reason you were adding more nutes is also because you have a larger resivoir...also do you notice your water level drop throughout the week...i lose quite a few gallons every week...how does this affect your ppm levels..and yeah plz chek my pix and tell me what you think dude:weed:

Yeah Ill check them out.

I swear they are drinking a gallon or more per day. Its crazy.

I dont measure PPM. Only thing I keep level is my pH. Other than that, I feed them on a normal routine every Saturday.

Heres a pic update of the veg tent and flower tent. Looking like Im gonna get 7 or 8 females out of 16. Not bad. Average.

The new sprouts are starting to bulk up. Kush in the middle is getting bushy already.

These thing have tripled in size after putting them into flower. I screwed myself with height issues. One plant is touching the light and I only have 6" at the most to move the light up. Any suggestions?

Hey buddy,

You can definetly scale it back. You gotta remember, plants store alot of water and nutrients. Over watering is a common mistake. Just by you saying that they look overwatered is a good thing. That means your starting to see what your plants are trying to tell you. Scale it back until your plants look comfortable. If your seeing them drooping and the leaves starting to curl then most likely you are overwatering.

I add water whenever. Doesnt matter when you do. I have a 30 gallon rez so whenever it looks like Im around 5 gallons low, I'll add a 5 gallon bucket of ph'd water.

These babies can drink man. All of my plants are around 4 foot now. One is almost 5. They are drinking like pigs. lol..

Nice first grow. Was very interested to check it out as it's pretty much same setup I ran my first grow. Your choice of hydroton over rockwool was a good one, I can tell you that.

It's funny how much they blow up when you flower. I veg'd 5 weeks and after 2 weeks of flowering they are at least tripple the size from start of flower. Absolutly insane growth. I'll hang around and offer any advice I can, but it looks like you've got it under control. One tip, you can tie down your tall branches or just supercrop them. basically u crush the stem, then again at a 90 degree angle. Works as good as tying down, only stunts growth a day or so. Using this technique this round with great results. Good luck on the rest of the grow...

Yeah Im not too fond of Rockwool. Hydroton or grow rocks with rapid rooters is the way to go. I just looked at your pics man, plants look amazing!! Im so glad because I just ordered 10 Feminized Pineapple Express and 10 Feminized Northern Lights from Attitude. How do you like the Pineapple?

Dude I hear ya. These things go nuts under the Sodium. I just cant believe the growth rate once they get going. Ill keep the supercropping in mind. Im scared to try things still since this is my first, but Ill get there...lol.

I appreciate the advice.

One question...The temps are fine. Its the humidity thats driving me nuts. I had my flower tent at like 70F and 43% humidity. I was fine with that. Now all of a sudden its like 56% humidity. I have a dehumidifier blowing into the tent constantly. Do you think maybe Im just not getting an accurate reading with my thermometer? It seems dry in the tent. Nothing is damp. I just know how critical it is to have low humidity during flowering because of mold. It has had me going crazy!

Thanks alot for the help.

It probably coincides with your flood cycles. All that water in the tray evaporates, so if you can cut back on waterings I bet you could reduce it some. Only other idea I have for ya is get a dehumidifier that's small enough to go right inside the tent. Hook it up with a drain, seal it up and it should drop your humidity. A good thing to check is your humidity in your house/the room your tent is in. If that's 50% then you'll have a bitch of a time keeping the tent down, especially with good circulation which you should have (exception sealed co2 grows). If your room humidity is ideal (say like 30%) then your problem is just air exchange into/out of your tent most likely.

Oh, and the pineapple express is fing amazing. I have yet to find genetics that top it... but my experience is admittedly limited.
