Sorry to butt in on your conversation; it's just I can't help overhearing, and it's interesting! I'm planning a set up, and so far have been concentrating on getting lights and germination stuff. Time to think of what to do with the plants when they're grown a little.
How would your set-up work? The plant is in a net-pot in a hole in the bucket lid...what's in the bucket - water with fertilizers? The roots grow out of the bottom of the pot, into nutrients....? Each pot with an airstone or two....how does the air pump figure in the set-up?
Hope I haven't asked anything too dumb. So far only considered growing in coir or pellets, but your way might work out cheaper. And I've only ever grown veg and stuff in the ground outside, never done indoor growing before.
Cheers.
