they're fillin in fast yo! co2 and dwc changed your life huh
Without a doubt, It made a HUGE difference!!!! :hump:

Ive noticed a big difference between the soil and the dwc..

The soil plants are doing alright, but taking a lot longer to put out the bud.

The dwc plants are maturing alot faster, even getting a couple of brown hairs.

Another nice thing, The smell factor is nearly gone because of the sealed up room.

Co2 is the shit!!!! :)

The perfect combo, dwc and c02!!

Doesn't get any better, ya know.

There hittin' some high rpm's and struttin their stuff :)

Maxed out!

hey CG on the first page the plant "monster" that you got 4 and 3/4's can you tell me some grow specs on that.
if its a bother you dont have to
1. how tall was it when you enter flowering?
2. What nutes cycle did you use? (i see you were following fox farm) wasnt sure if you were on this grow.
3. did you trim away all of the small branches and leaves like you did in your last soil grow?
4. what size pot were you using.
5. how many plants/lights? watts?

Good afternoon Brainfreeze :)

Sure, here is the recipe.

1=18" veg heighth
2=veg>Half teaspoon per gallon every 3rd watering Peters 20-20-20(dont make it anymore) try Jacks Professional.
Flowering>1/2 teaspoon per gallon every 3rd watering of Peters blossom booster10-52-10
3=Trimmed all the small branches, including fan leaves that obstructed bud sites.
4=Used narrow 7 gallon pots
5=1 plant under a son agro 430 watt hps.

That picture of the Monster(first plant I ever grew) won a photo contest at cannabis culture, and a spot in High Times magazine :) It was great!!! I felt that I could do even better crossing the unknown Indica Monster strain with a Brother Grimms Cinderella 99 Sativa, and thats how my "Glass Slipper" strain was started. It is loved by anyone who smokes it.

Its been around the world :)

The Cinderella 99 is still one of the best strains out there..Very potent. High thc output.. It has been labeled as the "Holy grail"

Very frosty, and wont send you to the slammer because of the odor.

Basically its like this, If you want yield dont overcrowd your plants.

The less # plants under a light will give you bigger yields.

The Peters brand of fertilizer is some amazing stuff.

The biggest plants Ive ever grown was with that low dollar fertilizer.

I may even go back to something similar if Im not happy with the dwc buckets.

But, so far Iam a happy camper running hydro... But, I may change the Fox farms for a chem fert in the future,we'll see.

Organics fert. does not yield as much as a chemical fert, Thats a straight up fact, been there, done that.

But, you gotta have the high wattage and the right ventilation to make it work.

And you got to be careful with overdoing anything chemical.

I have found out that Organic nutes can be pumped up as high as 3300 ppm with the strain I put together.

Aint too many strains out there that will put up with that much nutrient.

If I grew Just a couple of Glass Slippers under my 1k light they would be simply enormous.

The last grow I grew out i believe 21 under my 1000, it yielded ok, but for the number of plants, I felt it could of been alot better.

But, like i said earlier, plant count is just a number, and it will not yield more because of the crowding going on.

I see too many people wanting to grow 12 plants under a 600 watter for instance, and its ridiculous!!

Under my 1k light I would say 8 is maximum and thats with a light mover.

My next grow will be only 6 and it should yield at least 4 oz's a plant or Im doing something very wrong.

The grow after the next will be 4 Northern Lights #5's and 4 of my Glass Slippers..should be probably the best grow yet.

The fox farm has done me justice, but Iam thinking on going back to chemicals and using something like General Hydroponics or something like it.

The organic thing is basically for tree huggers, and alot of it is hype. Especially if your an advanced Nutrient User.

Conclusion. Some of the best plants Ive ever grown were grown out using chemicals, and the price tag was like $5.00 a grow instead of like $ 200 A grow that Im spending now.. Thats just for the nutes, mind you. That does not include electricity or c02.

The Dwc bubbler setup is most definetely the fastest growth Ive ever seen. And with possibly the chem nutes we will have the best yield EVER.

Its all about experimenting.

And after 10 years plus, I have not got it dialed in all the way.

One day I will :)

So far, if your looking for yield, nothing beats a chemical grow, and it doesnt taste bad at all if you dry out the bud fully, and cure for at least 2 weeks.

Ive never believed in flushing the last 2 weeks, buds need the nutes at the time, or yield suffers.

My bud is always very tasty, and has never had a chemmy taste ever.

Anyways, I rambled on maybe too much, but I thought Id fill you in on the real deal.

Hope I helped you out some.

Take care, anymore questions, you know where Im at :)

i am using per 5 gallons.
week 2-6
6 teasp calmag (bonicare)
10 teasp liquid karma
8 teasp base (tri-flex)
10teasp bloom (tri-flex)
2ml greenfuse bloom
2 teasp ph dwn

week 7-8 going to use grape sweet and molasses
then i was going to try your non watering for the last 7-10 days
Sounds like you got it going on!!

Love the wattage!! Im jealous..Haha!

Yes, thats correct.. the soil plants get starved of water/nutes.

Id do it around the 7th day before, to be on the safe side.

Every strain reacts differently.

Id rather do that, then flush out all the nutes.

You will noticed a tremendous amount of sparkling buds in the end.

So satisfying. :weed:

Its worth it!

Please post some pics, and let me know where I can find em.

I dont see too many "BAD BOY" grows like what you got cookin' ;-)

Peace my friend, and please keep in touch :) :bigjoint:

i really like the idea of breeding this purple strain with some northern lights or sour d but i think the northern lights would be great because of the hearty yields that come from the strain.

ill have to get a male northern lights #5 because i dont have any male of that purple... i need to start doing some research on the breeding process so i can get it done the right way

Good morning jakeman :)

Nice to see ya :)

The thread is fairly large, and I know it would take a while to read it all.

Did you find it somewhat interesting?

Are you into dwc?

Or, are you thinking about starting one up?

Stick around, Its nearing the end, and gets better all the time.

Get a bucket, and experience the magic of a DWC Bubbler :bigjoint:

Thanks for stoppin' in, CG :)

Hey My Brotha :)

Everything is fine and dandy this direction.

And hell yes, you better Jump in ya bad ass truck and get your ass ova' here my Nigga' ...LOL!!

Bring some of dat delicious looking Chronic!!!! :bigjoint:

About 20 some days left and Im hacking the ladies.

Yea, been thinking... And studying like a motha fucka, to make my grows even more spectacular...

Here's what Ive come up with..

Might change over to the General Hydroponics nutes.

You know why?

Because the chems seem to blow up the Glass Slipper even more.

Im always trying to perfect.

Ever heard of the Lucas formula?

Check this shit out bro>> http://www.weedbay.net/overgrow-thebook/Hydroponics/Art4.htm

The dudes claiming to get up to 6 oz's a plant in a bubbler running a thousand watts.

I dont think he's bullshittin either.

I have always liked Chemical grows better, because of the higher yields that they brought me.

And if you dry and cure the bud properly, it tastes great.

I remember back when I was growing in soil, I tried organic nutes, and the yield was always lower than the chem plants.

A noticeable size difference.

The last grow I done here, with all the soil plants yielded ok, but not as good as I expected.

The 4 soil plants Im growing along side of the bubblers are ok.. but should be alot bigger by now.

Afterall, Im running c02 and a fat ass light.
The environment is ideal.

Anyways, The lucas formula is only a 2 part.

You use 8 ml of micro's, and 16 ml of bloom(per gallon), and thats it, all the way throught the grow..veg-harvest.

And yes, you must chang out the rez every 2 weeks.. Some say you dont have to.. But......

The dude that has come up with the idea is an old pioneer in growing Cannabis, and from all the images Ive seen..It certainly works.

I like the simplicity!!

Im gonna finish up these girls with the fox farms, but overall, Iam not that impressed.

I spent a grip of cash on this grow, and I feel it should of produced ALOT more.

Its not bad.. Maybe 2 lbs, but I was thinking more like 3... especially since Im growing 9 Pretty large plants here.

Also noticed that my biggest plant outta the bunch has a bit yellowing going on in the leaves, while all the rest are perfect.

All the roots in all of the buckets look real good too.

Its as if its finishing up early or sumthin'..I dont know.

Its been ok working with organics, but I dont think It'll satisy me..

I mentioned on the first page of this thread, that chemicals will give you more yield, and I believe I was 100% accurate on this subject.

Dude, Back when I first started growing, I used Peters Chem ferts and the weight of them plants would blow the shit out of any of the organically grown plants Im growing today.

And the price? about 5 bucks a grow.

The first plant I ever grew was with chem ferts, and it weighed almost 5 oz's!!!

So, Im off to the hydro store to grab some of the gh nutes.

Micro and bloom... No additives.. Just plain and simple.

The guy in the link is reccomending 5-10.. To be on the safe side for veg, But lucas reccomends 8-16 from veg-through flowering.

Im all for it, and you know me.,

I aint no tree hugger.

I grow for yield mostly.

Homey, what do you think about all of this?
