Hello USNDEVILCG,
Just wanted to say just like many of us that this thread/grow journal has really been a inspiration. I have been looking into DWC for a while now and your system you definitely seem to have locked down. Bravo on your recent harvest and just wanted to say your ladies are looking beautiful. I've always been an advocate of GH's nutes and especially the lucas theory. I guess that fancy PPM meter you have seems kinda a overkill since GH's nutes seem to really stabilize your PPM and PH. Always great to be on top of it though which is why your ladies look awesome.
One thing that I was going to suggest since Lucas himself said that you really should only use the Lucas theory for Flowering and if you do use it for vegatation that you only do if you have a low light application. Just a suggestion but I think you should go with the whole 3 part series (grow, micro, bloom) for vegatative with your current light application and then switch to the lucas theory for flowering. Screw additives and just like you I actually love GH's chems over organic. Just as long as you are consistent with your res changes and topping off which you obviously are you will experience great growth using GH throughout your entire grow. The flush at the end takes care of any chemical taste that you might of had and you seem to be locked in on everything with your grow. I would love to get CO2 but it just isn't a possibility right now but your ladies stems are kinda freakish (great genetics) and CO2 seems to make a world of difference. Again, thanks for the great journal and I will stay tuned on what your grows are doing.
Hello DF,CG,
Have you thought about any kind of support for those big bitches? They are going to get top heavy a month into flower. Ive been trying to think what might help those big MFers, the only thing I can think of is tomato cages or maybe some bambo tied around the buckets. Ya need to think about it now before those bitches get out of line! Just lookin out for ya my man. My white widow is falling all over the place, im glad I put the screen in when i put it to flower.
Yea lucas claims you will have the "perfect" plant if you follow his directions. What's happening CG. I've done lots of reading on the Lucas formula here lately and I've read a lot of positive things that were said about it but on the other hand I've also read lots of negative things about it as well. So I'm kinda on the fence right now about the whole Lucas thing. That's why I'm not ready to make the switch to it just yet. I'm sorta watching you to see what kind of results you get with it. I'm also starting to wonder if it might be strain related (ya know) what's good for one strain might not be good for another.
Anyway I know you'll handle your business and handle it well and you'll get it figured out.

Always great to follow your play by play CG.Hello USNDEVIL
Thank you so much for the kind words
Yea, I tried the organic approach over and over, and it doesn't give you quite the same yield as chemicals.
Thats pretty much why i went with GH nutes.
Im dont like putting "shit" in my buckets anymore.
Im done with that.
Even the soil plants were alot smaller using organics.
So many people out there really dont know what there missing if there strictly organic.
Maybe its a tree hugger thing i dunno, but an Mj plant wont max out unless chemicals are in the mix.
Very interesting what you said about the lucas method only during flowering.
I read a post by lucas who claims you may get bigger yields using the "grow" along with "micro" and "bloom".
Then i read at least a hundred other threads about using just micro and bloom.. confusing.
Might include "grow" next time.. hmmm.
Ill bet I dont need this fancy digital meter, but what the heck..
I mainly bought it due to the intense ph fluctuations I had using Fox farms Organics... not at first, but more in the middle of my flowering cycle.
Ive noticed Gh nutes are extremely stable..
Barely have to adjust anything.. real steady.
Ill bet I wouldnt have to purchase any more ph up and down with these GH chemicals... But i like to fine tune em..ya know.
Yea, I think the organic nute manufacturers really wanna sock it to ya, and make the consumer spend big money.. for no reason, except maybe a lil better taste?
But, The yield suffers big time!!!
Im in it more for large Cola's, and Yield..
I have literally spent about 300 dollars the last grow running 11 buckets at once running fox farms and their additives...
And now, since I made the swap to GH nutes, ill spend maybe 75-100 max and my plants are growing so much better now.
Go figure.
I wouldn't even reccomend organics for out door mj farmers, but, it would be great for vegetables etc..
Thats what im going to do with all my extra organics in the shelves here.
And as far as the additives are concerned..
Ive been suckered a bunch of times, and Iam not going to be suckered anymore.
I finally learned my lesson, and I know whats really going on.
The best plants I have ever grown were with chemicals, and Im staying with chemicals as long as I grow Mj.
Feel sorry for all the others who keep buying that shit, and wonder why their plants never yield anything.
The comparison is like a cfl, to a 1000 watt hps... HUGE difference.
I thank you again for all the words, and have a super day!
Please stop by, and visit soon.
