Ok, Im gettin' it now... :hump:

You would be surprised to know that there are no good sites on adding a control bucket to dwc bubblers.

Aight, I may pm ya on a few questions if ya dont mind.
Pleeeease. You know I don't mind fire away my friend.

Yeah I went to the web to see If I could find a diagram right before that post and I couldn't find nothing on it either.

You can do the whole set up with out the submersible pump but I think it's an advantage because it circulates your whole system and keeps your grow buckets equally balanced. If you ever have to adjust your pH, you just have add it to the control tank and it will disperse evenly through out your whole system very slowly over time instead of instantly changing all at once. Another advantage is you just have to monitor the control tank instead of all them grow buckets.

Peace man.

Yea you've changed my mind Closet..going with 16 buckets now and just running air lines to each one..simple enough with a large pump.

I like the idea Dropastone, but what about a simple gravity feed rez?

This would probably be the cheapest since there's no pump, less water, less nutes..win win win

edit: just thought of something tho, when you lower the rez to drain...would it be alright for the roots to be suspended in mid air for like 5 minutes?

If you mean what I think you mean about gravity feed. I just explained that in my previous post.

Like I said you can do it without a submersible water pump but having one has it's advantages.

If not could you please explain what you mean by gravity feed?

O yea I see now what you were saying, I just had to think of how I could get that to work.

would it be alright to have the roots suspended in the air for like 5 minutes while I adjust the water?

seems like it could be a good thing to let them air out for a couple minutes a few times a day.

I don't see why not. I have mine out of the water every time I do a complete res change but I don't have them suspended out of the water a few times a day either, that's what the air stones are there for. But I don't think it would do them any harm if you wanted to do so.

Peace.

jacknpurp. What program do you use to make those diagrams?

I've been looking for something like that for a while now.

Peace.

I read it, and all I can say is Wow.

Thats alot of plumbing.. whew!
Paint huh, I should of known that. Hey great link man. I can remember checking that out when I first joined RIU. My memory is getting a little worse the older I get. So thanks for refreshing it. I've got it bookmarked now.

CG, yes that is indeed a nice tutorial and it's perfect if you want an auto feeding setup. It would be great if you were planning on going out of town for a week or so because it would automatically top off your buckets when your gone. But seriously I don't think you would have to go through all that trouble seeing that you are a hands on grower and like to check on your ladies on a daily basis.

I may be wrong in minds of others but I believe that design I drew up for you should work out nicely. The only thing I would change with that design is to add a chiller to the control tank.

The design I drew up for you is the exact same thing I use but on a larger scale. The only difference is that I have the control tank in the center branching out four different directions and my submergence pump is distributing the water equally through feeder tubes right back into the grow buckets.

Check out the pic.

Check ya later brah.

Cool,

Thanks for the reply Dropastone,

Well, like i wrote to ya earlier,
I put some peroxide in my buckets, but my plants get slight droopy afterwards... Yikes..Kinda scary.

Im just trying to prevent root rot, and so far my plants and roots look decent.

Maybe I should leave em alone and quit being so paranoid.

Although, The temps have climbed a bit yesterday a few hours before the lights went out.

The temps went up to 75 degrees(nute temp) and Im concerned.

Lets hope the H2o2 will help em out through these stressfull times.

Only other alternative thing to do is turn off the co2 and leave my bedroom door open.

Then my rez temps stay around 71.

But, i wanna run the Co2, made a big difference in the buds density.

I guess ill have to see what happens, and hope for the best.

Everything is looking good around here, just wanna keep it this way.

Have you ever thought about putting an air conditioner in there? That would probably do wonders for your res temps. You could have every thing hooked up to a environment controller and still be able to use you co2.

Only one prob...

When you run co2 it only really works when the temps go past 80 degree's..

And at the moment the highest ive seen is like 85-88..

So, the ac is outta the question.

Ahhhh okay. Well you might want to do a test run on one bucket and cover it with something to reflect the heat. Then compare it to one that's not covered to see if it makes a difference. That's the cheapest and easiest way to get those temps down that I know of.

P.S

Start the test after lights on tomorrow to get the best results on your findings. That way both buckets will have the same water temp to start off with.

Peace.

One week in, and Im still able to keep these Bad Girls in line.

Looking very healthy, and Strong! :)

Their tall and bulky,

but Im not letting that get to me..
Better than being puny and small.

Its gonna be a HUGE harvest, if I can keep in top shape.

And Donkey.420, I got 39 oz's and 5 grams total outta the last run.

Thats a terrific yield considering Im using only one 1000 watt light, and mover.

And thats final dry weight. :)

And them buds already smell real good.

Im putting the Cola chunks in the mason jars right now. :weed:

Peace, CG :)
