there must be something wrong with the calculations....I have almost never made over 50k (why do you think I'm on this site?? lol) and have had to pay a whole lot of federal taxes over the years. Also, and more importantly, i'm not in the tea party movement but if someone walked into my space and called me a teabagger they'd get a big ol knuckle sandwich 'cross the noggin and thats fer sure!!

The Washington Post babbled again reciently about Obama inheriting a huge deficit from Bush. Amazingly enough, a lot of people swallow this nonsense. So once more, a short civics lesson.




Budgets do not come from the White House.They come from Congress, and the party that controlled Congress since January 2007 is the Democratic Party.They controlled the budget process for FY 2008 and FY 2009, as well as FY 2010 and FY 2011. In that first year, they had to contend with George Bush, which caused them to compromise on spending, when Bush somewhat belatedly got tough on spending increases. For FY 2009, though, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid bypassed George Bush entirely, passing continuing resolutions to keep government running until Barack Obama could take office. At that time, they passed a massive omnibus spending bill to complete the FY 2009 budgets.



And where was Barack Obama during this time? He was a member of that very Congress that passed all of these massive spending bills, and he signed the omnibus bill as President to complete FY 2009. Let's remember what the deficits looked like during that period:

If the Democrats inherited any deficit, it was the FY 2007 deficit, the last of the Republican budgets. That deficit was the lowest in five years, and the fourth straight decline in deficit spending. After that, Democrats in Congress took control of spending, and that includes Barack Obama, who voted for the budgets. If Obama inherited anything, he inherited it from himself.






In a nutshell, what Obama is saying is I inherited a deficit that I voted for and then I voted to expand that deficit four-fold since January 20th

Basically Obama came into a PRIVATE SECTOR FINANCIAL CRISIS, caused by the PUBLIC SECTOR, and then SOLVES it by sucking a TRILLION dollars FROM the PRIVATE in to the PUBLIC !

That is why Obama has been falling in popularity since his first month. Once the population saw his idea of a solution.... it's been downhill for him and the Democrats.

I did not pay income taxes for 2008 and I did not pay income taxes for 2009, either. In fact, I have no plans to pay income taxes while the Community Organizer is President.

How? Why?

It's simple. I shrugged.

In the last Quarter of 2008 I finalized the sale of my company for a net loss. Truth be told, I worked for free in 2008. No income, no income tax.

Now I have a small job where I meet my expenses and not much more. I live quite well and still manage to save 15% of my income. But, I fall under the income tax threshold for individuals. I have turned down three promotions and all overtime in pursuit of that goal.

I will start another company, but probably not while Barry is CinC. In fact, I am working on a swell idea right now.

So you Teabaggees may suck on my hairy, sweaty scrotum to your heart's content.

Going to make strictly one comment about this:

I paid only 48 dollars in taxes last year (to the feds) because of Obama credits.

Does that mean I do not have the right to criticize our tax system? Do I believe I was fairly taxed? No. Do I still have the right to argue our social spending is completely out of control and there are leeches at every corner hoping to hop on the dollar of the rich? Yes.

Even if one pays no Federal income taxes he pays a myriad of other taxes, many of them hidden. From the Federal Excise Tax on gasoline to the itemized Federal taxes on the telephone bill.

And if the government does not get the deficit under control immediately we are looking at government-induced inflation; another form of taxation.

But never fear. Barry is now making noises about a European-style VAT (Value Added Tax) scheme.

Anyone scratching their head wondering why the Teabaggers are so angry has not been paying attention.

There is a myriad of difference amongst the Tea Baggers as a group. Some want less taxes, some want to make sure they have a fair shake with insurance companies, others feel that if the gov't is going to be taking so much of OUR HARD EARNED MONEY (Hard Earned meaning a person has actually worked or labored to make their employer money so they deserve a cut of the earnings [usually agreed to as a salary or wage, not a percentage of the earnings]) then the gov't SHOULD be providing GOOD, WORTHFUL healthcare. Others (like most of us here on RIU) just want their freedom to grow what they want, do what they want, and live without gov't intrusion.

The Tea Baggers AREN'T confused anymore about what they want than the Democrats OR the Republicans. Both the Dems and the Repubs represent a large number of constituents that WANT a number of different things. So they are all equally confused. ONE thing the majority of Tea Baggers WANT though, is LESS intrusion from government and MORE personal freedoms. THAT! is why the TEA BAGGERS represent SUCH A LARGE MAJORITY of the True AMERICAN IDEALS and the majority of U.S. Citizens.

On the other hand, the Democrats want MORE SOCIAL government so that THEIR constituents will be DEPENDENT on them to afford all the luxuries of the "greedy" rich, and the Republicans want MORE CAPITAL government so that THEIR constituents will be DEPENDENT on them to continue to afford MORE of the luxuries they already have so they can keep ahead and BUY their way to the "top".

If PEOPLE of the U.S. (you know. . . actual VOTING CITIZENS) would realize that both Democrat and Republican politicians AREN'T in the government to represent THE PEOPLE, but to represent themselves and to promote themselves, they WOULD VOTE for THE PEOPLE of the U.S. - The LEGAL CITIZENS that should be the ONLY ones who have a say in how OUR country spends money and takes money from them.

BTW - an Income Tax IS UNCONSTITUTIONAL!! The Constitution only states that the U. S. Government has the right to tax GOODS and SERVICES, NOT INCOME!!!

Also. . . when Fox News says that 47% of Teabaggers don't pay income tax, I believe they mean that they don't pay income tax AT THE END OF THE YEAR!!! THEY STILL PAY TAXES throughout the year on their income.

For ALL of you out there that think income tax is good because you get a big chunk of money at the end of the year. . . think again. . . YOU WILL ALWAYS pay an equal amount to what you paid the prior year, if not MORE! Your refund is NOT a refund! It is YOUR income that you had earned throughout the year. . . the government just FORCED YOU to give it to them throughout the year so they could use it. You'll notice too, that when you get YOUR INCOME back from the government. . . it is ALWAYS less than what you were FORCED to give to them, there is NO INTEREST paid on it, which you could have made had you put that "set aside" income into a banking institution that gives GOOD INTEREST, and the government spent what they didn't pay back to you for something YOU PROBABLY WOULDN'T HAVE PURCHASED for yourself anyway. I mean. . . really. . . who? besides the government, buys a toilet seat that is gold plated for a million dollars?
