Im planning on growing 5 plants this year. I am wondering if i should grow my plants in 1 gallon pots then transplant when flowering to maybe a 2 gallon pot or should i just start off with a larger pot, like 3 gallon ones? I also can't have a 6 foot tall plant but if i do i can always just LST since im pretty good at it =) what do you guys think i should go for?

Bigger is better. But if your worried about size then 5 should work for you. No smaller. If you can get a 5 or 7 gal "smart pots" you'll be happy you did,

Make sure you're using/have on hand nutrients or have well balanced soil. It can be a bitch to start off in something, need to transplant, then then kill your child. pH meter is always helpful

just remember, the deeper the pot, the bigger the roots, the taller the plant, the more bud you SHOULD have

the wider the pot the busher the plant the bigger the yield. so wide and tall in the way to go.. ifyou don't have to worry about hight.
yea i have my nutes all set up and everything is ph 6. i had a small grow indoors so i learned alot from that grow. =)
I forgot to get veg nutes.......... wow guess its off to the nursery to get some tomato fert. lol i need a checklist to keep organized. well i ll be sure to get everything correct and i need a ph meter for the soil also so add that to the checklist. if i have any other questions ill just post here. i appreciate the help everyone very kind also =)

if you have access to a liqued ph test kit i would recomend that instead if the meter.. the moisure meter is ok but you will get a way better reading with the ph test kit. you can even kitthe one from any pet stor for fish tanks..
Ill try and get one then. o and my friend just suggested using garbage bags instead of containers since we would have to go and buy them. he is always high and is very lazy when not working. so would garbage bags be ok to use?

My opinion, if you are able to, slap them fuckers right in the ground. Dig you some good sized holes, fill with your medium of choice, and plant them babies in there. I have 6 in the ground, going on 3 weeks. In october/november, those fuckers will be some beasts by then.
If you have wildlife problems like I did, I just put up a barrier of chicken wire fence. So far, it has kept animals out and away from my babies.

basicly just tieing the plant ove so it grows outwards and all the nodes grow up to the light. creating what most call more colas, butin all actuality the cola bud is the top of the plant. but by LST,ing those buds will be bigger.

5-gallon buckets, buried flush with the existing soil-layer FTW!
i would go to homedepot but my car is getting repaired and im basically tuck at home unless i want to walk about 4 miles and back. i may put a couple in garbage bags then when i can get the buckets ill put the rest in there. also i will try and put some in the ground to see how shit goes. but i dont want a 12 ft plant haha since i no they can get that bg in the ground. thanks for the help. =)
