I bought them as clones, I got them on 4-26-10 and the guy told me they were about a week and a half old. So i would say they are about 3 weeks into veg state. Im not sure what the ph is, i have just been filtering local tap water that is taken out of local wells, I use the brita filter, and i let the water set out to room temp before watering them, and i added some super-thrive to the water as directed by the directions because i transplanted them twice, the day after i got them, i put them in a 1 gallon container with some Scotts fertilizer 10-30-20 then the next day i transplanted them again into a 5gallon container that has soil made of bat crap and worms and all this other stuff that im not sure of but ill get the name tomorrow. Im not sure about the temp, I have them in my closet with the both doors open, with one fan blowing air in and one blowing air out and with my window open so it kind of makes a breeze, so im guessing around 70f+ but no hotter than 78f (outside weather right now is about 80's). Havent used any nutes yet, not sure what kind to put, been reading trying to find out more about them after see the leaves like this, ive been giving them about half a cup of water every other day. Ive gone through some lights after reading through some forums. i first had a halogen light on them 250w because it was the only light i had, i had it about 2 1/2ft away from my plants and at that time i had both fans on my plants. Then i also added a phillips plant light 120w on them for about 2 days until i read that it wasnt good for them so i took it away(was also about 2 1/2ft away), and now i have 5 cfls small light bulbs, all this was done on or by last friday. I dont have a pmp, I just check on them all the time like when i get up in the morning or get home or before i leave. This is all in my closet, the space that they are growing in is about 4ft long by 1 1/2ft wide, and the height is 5ft+. Im am also running them at 24/0 right now.
No offense at all but youve changed things for these plants way too much. The cannabis plant like any plant needs a consistent yet optimal environment to thrive in. I mean it sounds like you know what your doing in a sense that some of the right measures have been taken yet some key requirements are not being met and possibly overlooked.
First thing is your PH levels controls the acidity levels of the medium you use. Medium holds roots, roots sap water to foliage, water holds nutrients, nutrients are locked out at different acidity levels. You are in a soil medium, your ph should be between 6.5 and 7.0.
ph is measured on a scale from 1.0 to 14.0 Pure water has a pH of 7.0 and is considered pH neutral. pH below 7.0 is considered to be acidic and pH higher than 7.0 is considered to be alkaline.
Accessing, fixing and maintaing your ph levels is very cheap despite being so crucial to overall plant health. Go buy a ph test kit, they use a liquid, a small vial and a color chart to read your ph level, simple and easy to use. Maintain your ph! Use ph up or ph down, sold in bottles, cheap.
Another thing is your plants are going to be really stunted and in a state of perpetual shock due to being transplanted so many times, jiffy cube to 3 gal pot is the only TP I ever do. One time is best.
The fact that they started with a halogen light and have been through 2 or 3 more types of lighting has also confused the plants. They need one type of lighting for each stage of growth unless you use the same the whole way, example: I use flourescents for cloning, MH for veg than a mix of hps x mh for flowering.
Also you need to do a PMP even if it is small. Go buy some " HOT SHOT Pest Strips " they are cheap and very effective, or you could do a spray every so often(research pesticides for cannabis), or a bug bomb( active chemical PYRETHRUM ) Tailor it to your needs. You will need some sort of a PMP at sometime of your grow.
Get a digital thermo/hygrometer(humidity) they are cheap, just so you know where you are at and can adjust accordingly.
I fully understand your a beginner and haven't quite "dialed" in a setup yet, it's cool man, it's my first grow too. I'm just stating that this is probably what has caused your poor growth and leaf damage. I hope this helps and remember a little care and knowledge goes a long way while trying to grow good smoke and the things I mentioned all included total around 50 bux or less.
Take care keep it green ~ BCbuddy
