This looks like the best soil I can find in my town. I would like to get mix #4 they do not carry it. I was thinking of getting mix #1 adding 20% more perlite and 1/3 wormcastings
adding lime as needed. I have the floranova line of nutes from GH. I don't have to use the nutes but think it would be the best till I can learn full organic methods. What PH should the soiless mix be? PH of water and nutes. I am growing autoflowering strains.

I have never used Sunshine mix...but if it's a "soiless" mix, then I think you'll find your plants turning yellow (lack of Nitrogen) without the nutes, and soon after dying (please someone correct me if I'm wrong - that's how we learn). I use Botanicare Aeration Formula - coco based, it has a decent amount of perlite, it's organic, has amazing drainage and they say it's nearly impossible to over-water your plants with it. How far along are your plants? Do you have any pics?

soiless mixes take alot of supervision... and can be under fed or underwatered in a mater of hours... tell me more about this mix? does it contain vermeculite? if so that will help a lot... i grew a plant manual hydro with just perlite and vermeculite mixed together... ill tell you i only did that one time... it sucked so damn bad.. then i bought $300 worth of fox farm and ocean farm... worked great.. then i tried Miraclegrow moisture control... i have been using that every since with a few extra things... but look up subcools super soil... mine is kinda like his... it feeds them for months and grows the tasties buds ive ever smoked... the good part is the soil runs out of nutes just in time for flushing...

Thanks for the replies. I've been camping over the week end.
sunshine mix bag says it has a wetting agent but I don't think it is vermiculite..
It has peat moss, perlite, dolomite lime. I have a bag of perlite and verm
The promix has another iron addiitive of some sort started with an A.
I have no problem hand watering and the nutes seem to be good.( Floranova)
I have used them in a DWC with outstanding growth.

My current plants are 3 each Lowryder 2 and diesel ryder. They will be a month old the 20th.
They have serverly stuned and yellowing. My water PH was around 5 because of laziness and confusion.
I am not taking no pics of these they look horrible.

These are pics of a bag seed male that I Lst'ed.
This is 3 days after the res went dry. It still looks a little droppy but still growing.

decided to push the nute limit then try a flush and fix. Did it and it never stopped growing.

I was running a 5.8 to 6.0 PH. Is this a good Ph for a soiless mix?
