Does Hashish gets too old to smoke?

Hi there!

I have a small hashish cube (fitting for one joint i guess)which lies wrapped in a silver paper in a carton box (I opened it from time to time) in my closet for about 2 years.

(I smoked most of the chunk more than a year ago and now I found that this small portion was left)

It looks pretty usual to me, blacker than it used to be (though it aint black but has a somewhat dark-brown shade).

Do you think I can smoke it?
Due to its age, is there any chance at all for something unpleasent to happen to me by doing it? (I know it may sound silly, but I'm a Noob!)

Thanks!

I thought I once heard good hash is like good wine, it just get's better with age.

But that's probably with jars and the such.

True - hash will get better with aging, but it will degrade some. Much of the THC will brake down to CBN if the hash is stored wrong. If your hash has been in room temperature for a couple of years you will probably experience a very tired stone - your hash is probably excellent for a good night's sleep. There most definitely can not happe anything dangerous to you smoking/consuming it - go for it. (and get a vaporizer if you have not already)

I remember once I bought some "weed" off a guy in the street...a little celophane wrapper which looked to have some kind of green liquid in it?

I stored it with the rest of my stuff and about 2 years later it had gone from green to black and it SMELT like something had died in my tin!

What the hell could it have been? It was dark green and smelt of weed...but went black in 2 years

theoretically only the outside layer of hash is degrading, while the inside is staying the same, maybe getting better, but I assume it's staying the same.

i think this dude is right... if im correct its light that degrades THC? so, having the outter layer slightly degrade while inside is same? sounds right to me... let usknow how it is

Yes - looking forward to hear how the smoke was. It sounds right that the outside shell of the hash would degrade the most since most light and air comes to this. I think though after some years that the inner part will degrade pretty much from the keeping in room temperature.
