heyy waysup man. yea 4 26 watt bulbs isnt bad.. bu tobviously the more the better.. soo maybe u can start off with that many.. and work your way up?? if not i've seen ppl grow plants wiht that many bulbs.
I currently have about 300-400 watts of CFL's.. i always forget how much exactly cuz i tend to add lights here and there. 1 thing u can do to maximize CFL use is to make a DIY reflector... get a beer can/soda can... use a can opener and cut off the top.. then use a knife and plyers to make a hole in the bottom part... actually.. u know what... lol.. lemme try lookin for a thread with it.. its hard to explain the rest.. and ill probly just confuse the shit out of you..

now u dont have to follow that EXACTLY... but that at least gives u an idea of what to do.. i dont use the mylar.. the inside of the cans are reflective enough.. and i dont use the electrical tape either.. but u can do w.e. u want. =)

Depending on where Edskins lives that could be 12-16 20-26w CFL's. Plus if he is doing a scrog would he not rather spread the light over a wider area then using a single high watt bulb with a reflector...
Ed, there are plenty of ways to set-up a light fixture/system. Ya say your in a closet, well you could get a unused power-strip or buy a cheap one hang it from the hangar bar an droop a flat white reflector on the power-strip. Get a few polarized/Y adapters an put them 4 bulbs ya have now in em an just increase as the grow goes on. when ya get close to flower then get your 2700k bulbs going! I started with 4 26w 6500k CFL's an now have 6 in a fixture like I described. Now I am a noob to growing with cfl's, and really growing cannabis. Only one real grow(outside) under my belt. But all what the plant needs is bout the same any way ya grow!

i can take sum pics of my ghetto setup as well.. but this ghetto setup gets me 3+ ounces off 1 plant.. soo no complaints here. lol. i have a pole in my closet to hang clothes from.. i tie shoelaces to them.. and then i went to walmart and bought tho Clamp Lights. (i can show u a pic) and i clamp them onto the strings.. that way i can easily move them up and down without any hassle at all.
and if ur doin a scrog.. then side lighting isnt really needed.. especially if ur onyl gonna use the 4 lights.. the plant will grow TOWARDS the light.. soo if u have the on the side.. they will grow outwards.
if u end up with an extra light or w.e.... u can put it so its shining underneath the plants... that will help some of the smaller popcorn nugs get biiger.
