First time grow using cfl

right i've got a 120x120x200 grow tent, growing 5 plants from cuttings, got 2 x 250w 6400 k cfl lamps in sun mate grow reflectors, im using the hempy bucket method and feeding them canna coca, cuttings have been potted bout 2 weeks now and are under 24 hr light with lights being around 6 cms above plants, they're looking really healthy and impresive at the moment, im about to buy 2 250w 2700 cfl bulbs ready for wen they go too flower. i've been reading that cfl's are not good for flowering. Has anyone had success using cfl's or has anyone tried and failed, all advice and help would be really appreciated

I've done ok on my 125watt dual-spectrum...got an ounce off 2 ice cream plants.

The only thing about cfl's I've noticed is they need an extra 2 weeks or so to mature (like when people say 8 weeks, its usually 10-11 under cfl...) - but for the extra time I guess the money-saving aspect of flourescants is worth it...I've only ever used flouro's so I dunno what the difference is in the amount you actually get from an HPS in comparison

yea thx very much for that pal, im wanting better results than that thom think im gonna change to a 600-1000w hid for flowering, results im getting in veg with the cfl is amazing tho, never seen plants starting so good and healthy, thanks once again

yea im well impressed so far, got the 2 lamps litrally centimeters from tops of plants, just hoping im gonna continue this sucess into flowering, thats 5 plants in the pics

yea i been thinking bout that, just seems like so much of the plants will be wasted, as its first grow and no one i know has used these cfls im not sure how much the light will penetrate, i got 2 250w and they're like 5-8 centimetres above the canopy, been topping too so each plant got bout 6-8 collas which all fit rite under the lights

No problem .I have 5 plants under 2 lights the 300 is centered over h.p.h. and same with other (cheese),in other words side by side so it combines lumens and light and i have no probs,my lights are about 2 to 3 " above plants and pistols are always grow to them.and this is first grow with this particular set up but have grown with cfl before.

cool, your first person i spoke to wit similar sort of set up, a lot people saying cfl dont work but then they using small bulbs, be real interested to find out wat yeild you get. really do like chees tho, few pals use to grow a lot of it, not actually sure wat im growing, just random seed i mothered then got my 5 clones off it, all i can say tho is they're real smelly, bet your cheese is stinking, i'll have to keep a check on your progress bud,
