www.htgsupply.com has 1.5 cubic feet bags of fox farm ocean forest for $22 and 2.0 cubic feet of happy frog for $19. Your probally thinking that seems expensive but 2.0 cubic feet is about 15 gallons. it actually is less expensive than if you get the sub-par miracle grow/other generic brand soils. cut it with 1/4 of your containers size of pearlite. They will usually take a few bucks off their products if you just contact them and ask them about it too so thats always worth a shot. I got my stuff 175 cheaper than it would of been if i had paid full price. plus some free stuff and he even reduced the shipping some.2 days after ordering everything arrived in perfect condition.

To avoid online ordering go to a local nursery. I used to live in Kent, there are plenty around. Most ccarry at least 1 or 2 of the googies..

Sunshine Mix #4
Prom Mix seed and potting
Fox Farm varieties

Good Luck!

I'd go with DarkDestruction420's recommendations as I've used them and in my personal experience, it was well worth it and I saved a bunch of money :)

Um no. All expenditures on my grow are solely funded by me.
I buy online because you can usually find and get a better deal than at most nurseries or other stores. Plus, you can buy in bulk online and the price gets drastically reduced.

...I actually buy most things online....except groceries.

Hey guy...I live in Oregon and I use Black Gold soil. Readily available at most store including Fred Meyers (where I get mine). A top quality soil available in the Pacific NW and some western states. Made by a Canadian company and a great value. I know a lot of growers swear by Fox Farms, but I don't like organic soils because they almost always contain gnats due to the decaying matter found in all organic soils. Good luck!

Yes, the Cannabis plant can survive in many harsh conditions although they could be doing much better with separate pots, more light, and better soil...

I know my setup isn't perfect but that's what is perfect about marijuana ... its a weed and it will grow. This is my first grow so i was trying to keep it cheap and simple without ordering online or going to any hydro stores.

Growing weed, IMO, is pretty synonymous with bodybuilding, an old past time of mine. There are all the supplements in the world to build muscle, lose fat, do this, do that, and tons of tweaks on diets, workout regimes, and the works. I've done it all, and the bottom line is that you workout frequently and eat a high protein diet within a caloric range ... everything else after that, the creatine, the this, the that, low carb, zone, paleo diet, etc. is just icing on the cake (and doesn't make near as much a difference as you'd think).

So on this grow i concentrated on doing the fundamentals the best i could, knowing i can work on the tweaks later as i grow and learn as a grower. The fundamentals always outshine the bells and whistles! I did the best i could on lights (260w mixed cfl's), grow box (reflected and ventilated), and medium (MG MC in 1 7.5 gallon tub) w/ 2 blue mystic seeds.

In my honest opinion everything, that's why im growing it. The taste, the smell, the first effects when you start puffing on your first joint in a while, the way your thoughts seem to travel to places they dont normally, the way music sounds when you're high on it - all perfect. Everything about it is perfect and that's why I love it. :peace:

Lots of hydro and garden centers in the DC area http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&um=1&ie=UTF-8&q=Hydroponics+in+washington&fb=1&gl=uk&hq=Hydroponics&hnear=Washington,+DC,+USA&view=text&ei=eYgwTPCUN4vNjAflps2WBg&sa=X&oi=local_group&ct=more-results&resnum=1&ved=0CCkQtQMwAA

Would ordering online not come with hefty delivery charges for the waight ?...i dunno :)

Soil is pretty cheap to buy allready i would think no ?

I to can Recomend Canna Coco Pro , made for growing herb really so it has to be right .... seeing more and more seasoned growers switching to it now to :)

Good luck ...Hope this has been of some help :)
