I have some spider mites and I was wondering if i could seven dust them they are still in veg so its not like they will be smoked soon
7 dust for bugs?

you probably dont want to 7 dust anything inside,if your plants are inside.. i havent seen 7 dust for a while but if i remember it is pretty toxic. you dont want to be around it or have your pets/family around it...... if its outside it should be fine just dont do it when its flowering and spray your plants with water to get it off the leaves you dont want to smoke that shit....
you should just try something like spray soap water on them or something else... 7 dust is poison

PYRE-THRUM do not trust anything else especially when it comes to mites! They will often triple in count overnight. Get a bomb can of pyre-thrum and set it off in the plant area. It is the only thing that will kill them continuously till there are none left. It will also kill any bug within a 3000 foot space. To combat eggs get csc spray and spray down the back of the leaves. Hydro shops will have it. Most other crap sold will only help if the situation with mites is small. Otherwise your plants will be effed.

Thought id give my .02. I personally wouldn't trust 7 dust in my room. BUT there is an option other than Pyrethrum. Try Diatomaceous Earth. Basically acts like a bunch of tiny razorblades that cut up softbodied insects and dehydrate them. Here's what i do when i have issues:
if the insects are outside and around the pots, i just sprinkle a line around each pot to act as a barricade.
if the insects are inside the pot, wait until after my water (if i can) and then let the top 1/8th of an inch dry out before lightly dusting the entire surface of the dirt with it. making sure the top is a little dry will help to keep the DE from caking up, and i believe it may be more lethal in its dust form.
DE will also serve as a source of silica should your plant happen to be lacking any. dispite this, as far as i know, DE is 100% natural and completely safe to use in all stages of your garden. worth a try.

Thanks SIV3L; +rep given!! I was checking out my very pregnant ladies today and found mites!! I first noticed the speckled leaves then looked at them closely with the loupe and found mites crawling all over them. I mixed up some pyrethrum spray and hit them with it. Went back a couple of hours later, after they had dried off, and the little suckers were still there - dead as a hammer. So I hosed them off with the water hose so I would not be smoking them. I'm posting a pic of one of my preggo girls in the grow journal in my sig.

your medium? as in your soil? how does that work? the second that stuff gets moist it turns into paste.... i wouldnt think that would work very well as a medium.

it comes in many forms. I am just not using the dust. before it is turned into dust its texture is much like that or lime rock.

ahh indeed. i hadnt thought about it before they grind it. hows it work out for ya? i imagine its anti-parasitic properties are pretty nice for an indoor garden.

there is only one way to put it. It works fucking wonderful. I currently have it mixed into my special blend of soil to, at about 15% of my soil it serves as an excellent moister holder, yet it has good drainage also. I currently use 15% DE, 10% bat guano, 40% peet moss finely ground, 30% miracle grows organic choice, and 5% pure potash.
