Ive got some good news and bad news tonight. Might as well go with the good.
I fiddled with the Blumats some more tonight. It takes awhile to dial them in perfectly. I can't remember If I mentioned I installed them recently or not. I have a bad memory, but 13 were had cracked caps. I contacted the company and the Head Honcho wrote me back and apologized, said they were 10 year old stock that was supposed to have been recalled. He is sending me another 24 free of charge! The cheapest I have seen a single blumat for in america is $6.95. Thats almost $177 in free grow equipment! Kick ass.
Now the bad news. I am pretty sure that home made isolation chamber is a pile of crap. Ive noticed the Satori right next to it has lots of little seeds forming down below
. I guess this is what I get for wanting to make babies. FML. Every time I try a home made DIY pile of shit, I get a pile of shit. First a Cool-Tube, then a Carbon Filter, and now a iso chamber. I swore off DIY yourself shit after the carbon filter, but noooo ohhh noooooooo, I tried once more. Thats it, no more!
Ive moved the males and two female clones out of the tent and moved to a whole other location. They'll get 68 watts of CFLs to continue flowering for now. It might be enough to make some seeds.
Ive collected pollen from the fast flowering male, but after looking at them all none are really appealing. Oh well. Ill still use them as they're seeds for a buddy.
My ladies are totally cluster fucked with seeds. Some of the least affected are the Skunk Hazes and 3rd d on the far side of the tent. Satori is nothing but seeds. Chunkies are somewhere in the middle. JTRB looks pretty good still. JTRC & C9 meh. Ive even got a few seeds forming on the Early Durbans.
Now onto other stuff. I finally believe its heat stress that has caused so many problems. I may have never even had a magnesium deficiency me thinks. Who knows. If I did have it, then its a great way to cover up heat stress. Sneaky bastards.
Just another problem on another..Boo.
I snipped off alot of the fan leafs from the canopy of Chunkies, and a few here and there from C9, JTRC, Satori. These leaves were more yellow or necrotic than green. Most only had 10-20% green left in them. Its weird how the plant wasn't removing all water and nutrients once they got so far gone. I wonder if they are left there to shade the lower leaves below as a defense mechanism. Seems logical.
I dont anticipate any further problems with lighting. *fingers crossed*
This grow has been full of hurdles once I got into flowering. Everything was so easy during veg. I hope everything is back on track now.
