Pablo's Socal Balcony Grow

;) Will do, good sir. I'll find the pages where I started the LST. Another technique that works really well is supercropping, that is something that can be done all the way up to flowering as well.

I bought a cheap, thin/sheer curtain and cut it up to cover my plants. The moths generally lay their eggs at the top portion of the plant. Not sure if I need to completely cover the entire plant or not. We'll see. Seems like a great option for outdoor auto grows that are in an area with moths/budworms.

Good idea. I guess you are taling about covering them at night right? I hope it gets rid of those buggies..

Nice looking plants by the way. Very dense buds, so it seems.

Thanks! The Top 69 will get chopped this weekend. The Kush was watered with Big Bloom and Tiger Bloom yesterday.

Yep, I just place the little tents over my plants in the evening and remove them in the morning. My experience has been that the moths pay a visit at night and lay their eggs. I'm thinking I can use this same technique on the Kush once it gets later into flowering.

About the ladybugs, maybe they ate all the bad buggies that were available? They also might have laid eggs in the soil, they did in my greenhouse at least

Automon: Not sure about the eggs, but I suppose they chowed down on the aphids.

Weedoozie: I suppose they could have, and then left. I'm still crushing aphids on the plants every morning, tho. Not a lot, just a couple here and there. No damage. That would be cool if the ladybugs decided to colonize. But I doubt they really have a chance to do this on an autoflower given their short life span. Maybe they'll do it on the Marigolds and then make the occasional visit to my plants.

Time to tuck the girls into bed for the night.

Thats why you should always take a clone first, lol so in a way she will live on forever :) Although I know that can't be done with Auto's.

Heh, I will have no problem killing these girls. I will probably harvest the Top 69 tomorrow.

I saw a thread where someone was cloning Iranian Autos, but their lifespan is longer so they're a bit more amenable to cloning.

Cheers.

The Top 69 was chopped today. I found a budworm in the top of it. Minimal damage, I've got a shot of the piece that was ruined. I'm not sure if it's even possible to completely eliminate these bastards if you grow outdoors in Southern California.

I'm happy with my yield, this is my best so far. No idea what kind of smoke it is since nobody has ever reported on it, but I'll let you know soon.

This time I'm going to save the small leaves that are covered in trichs. Perhaps save them for a few grows and make butter, oil or whatever.

Nice Pablo! Looks great and nice trimming job - I definitely recommend keeping that good trim around a few cycles and making either hash or butter. Excellent nugs on that top 69! looks like it'll be some awesome smoke; I'm interested in a smoke report when you get a chance:)

Great job Pablo! Looks dank :)

Budworms suck and yes, I think they do plague most outdoor Socal grows however, the damage on your Top 69 isn't looking too bad at all. So woohoo!

Let us know how she smokes!

Thanks everyone! Top 69 was chopped at day 78. Now I've got that nice familiar drying smell in my closet. I'm going to take my time with the curing process on this one. Once complete I'll let you know how it smokes. Cheers.

Not sure what weck bottles are, but I've got some glass jars ready. I put a few small nugs in a paper bag to dry, and they were dry enough today to put into jars. The rest that are hanging still have a bit longer to go.
