LED's seem to work just fine for flowering. Nice pics.
Thanks Pablo, yeah I've never used HPS or anything other than CFL's and sunlight, and I think they're doing alright under the circumstances.

i always enjoy your pics, thanks for shareing.
Cool man, thank you for following my grow. Glad you enjoy the pics - I do to if you couldn't tell. haha

Again, Great job!! my ladies are doing well under my LED as well... Great job bud!
Thanks dude! I don't know if I asked you this before, but what kinda wattage do you have for your LED?

Very nice grow. Looks like LED's are doing great for grows. +rep
Yeah thanks man, I think LED's will certainly get the job done. Thanks for checkin my grow out dude.

Within the contained area I'm growing in, I've opted for a 120W Quad Band led. Had I gone larger, I would not have the prerogative later on to add CFL's if I wanted to include them.
Thus far the speed in which they are growing has exceeded that of my last grow. Not sure if it's due to the change in strain (Blue Mystic last, Northern Lights Automatic this time).
Looking forward to the outcome.

:)

do you find using the mylar better then using some form of reflective white product? i'm starting a grow box with led's and a few cfl's. plants are starting to show signs of being ready to flower so im moving them into the box. the girls have been outside all summer but to noticable when then flower. i dont want the neighbors to find them. i got them hid among my garden.

Hey dude, sorry I can't really help you much on that. I've never used white plastic or paint - only mylar. I would guess that mylar reflects better because it's essentially a mirror, so there's not really any loss of light - but I might be wrong. I do know that when I put the mylar up there's a big reflection of light that really makes a difference on the plants. I couldn't imagine white plastic creating a good reflection...
thanks for stopping by and good luck with the grow!

The industry actually rates reflective material by the percentage of light reflected vs the ammount converted into heat. Panda plastic, the white/black stuff they sell in hydro stores, is rated at 85% reflective. Mylar is rated at 100%, and takes the cake for the best wall liner. I have a home-made veg room with panda, and a tent for flowering with mylar. The mylar's WAY brighter to look at. I don't know about paint. I've heard you can get 100% reflective matte white paint for electrical/lighting apps, but haven't actually seen it.

the Purple Hawaiian is beginning to get a bit of purple to her buds, it's looking very juicy and sugary!:weed:
this is the pic of purp hawaiian on day 27 - you can faintly see the purple coming in - and if you can zoom then you'll definitely see it. Beautiful :)

I can't find any purple on the Granddaddy yet, it's just getting drenched in thc.
I don't know why but it seems like the girls get more pungent during the night hours - when the lights go out...the fans are still on, but it seems like they reek more - which is delightful :hump:
..no new pics right now, maybe I'll take some this weekend...depends on how much different the buds look.
peace

Yeah, mine smell stronger at night too, especially right before the light goes on. Seen other folks make the same observation. Nice pic, that's looking lush!
