Has anyone re-cured their buds?

So this is the situation, I acquired some bud that doesnt seem to have the kick that it looks like it should have. Was wondering if after its been dried (not sure what process) if i could cure it the right way, with the water method to give it that umpf. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Ive done this before....gotten bud that was either too wet, or too dry.

You can tell well-cured bud by how it burns and the ash left-over...If it burns fast, then too dry. If it burns slowly, doesnt stay lit then too wet... Well cured bud also leaves a powdery, light grey to whitish ash, that dissintegrates instantly. Badly cured bud burns poorly, and leaves a dark crumbly ash.

I put my improperly-cured buds into a jar and leave them in there for a few weeks. (if your buds really wet you should open it up once a day or so to release the moisture).

I usually take out a small bud and try it out every few days until it has that smooth, even burn..And that light, white ash.

i have water cured over 100 times, either my own bud or bud i got and was not hapy with it.. get a mason jar, or bigger if needed submerge the bud in water. Just covering it. I use a special cut piece of wood to lay on top of the bud to keep it entirely underwater. Make sure the whold bud is under water. Preventing mold. Leave what ever container you use open. leave it in a cool dark area. Empty the water every day for 7 days you must empty the water every day and replace it being careful not to shake the bud too much. On the 8th day dry the bud in a food dehydtrator for 5 hours on low. Or you can hang it it will take about a day .The bud will turn darker and lose its smell,, but all the vegg matter and nutes,clor..ect. will be completely removed. It will be the smoothest smoke you have had in a long time. Top growers water cure there head weed often, It loses all bag appeal but provides a very potent, smooth smoke.

Interesting. Im gonna have to research this more. Maybe experiment with a small amount. Still sounds kind of suspect but interesting nontheless.

My main concern is that my buds becomes a better smoke and more potent... The bud seems to be grown under fairly well light (HPS) as the buds are pretty dense. I did the ash test, and it turned grey, bud seemed to burn evenly through the one gb pull. Im thinking now that u cant turn swag into dank, not that i have swag, but you get the picture... Cant turn it into something its not, maybe at its full potential... Let me know what you guys think.

it can sound suspect ,,i dont care,,,if you want the smoothest smoke ever, you will try water curing,,the water gets rid of all MATTER IN THE BUD!!! meaning all there is is thc..not more thc, but more condensed..it is science i didnt make it up. water curing is 100%%%%% the best way to cure your head buds, complete cure takes 8 days.. smoothest, thickest smoke you ever had. I will gaurantee it/// i was hesitant at first..I now only water cure my head stash..BEST CURING METHOD AROUND! once again you lose bag appeal and odor..losing the odor is not such a bad thing with nosy neighbors. You can doubt it all you want, WEED IS WATER SOLUABLE...logic tells it all.. it is fact. fact. water curing is more for advanced cultivaters so some of you i would expect to be out of your league!

we all know that..but water curing commercial bud will 10000000% give it a way better smoke, smoother, and only thc remains in the bud, FACT!

So it will make it a smoother smoke, but THC stays the same? So why would one put work into something that wont get better? (THC wise) I wouldnt be able to tell the difference High wise, but my lungs on the other hand would thank me in the long run. Well then if thats the case then i should've been curing since the day i started...

my friend the high will be better!! and yes your lungs will love you, that was my favorite part..and you will notice a better high..100000% i never said more thc, just more confined and a larger percentage equally through out the bud..The water cure takes every thing but thc out of the bud it is pure and clean. The reason it loses some color and smell. Apossed to taking a hit of incorrectly cured bud and getting 50%thc--30%veg matter__20% other junk..

you asked what you could do with already bought bud,, and that is the best solution. You will upgrade the smokability of the grass bye 50% it will now smoke like good middy's i garauntee it if you do it right..

Sounds like you have a solution, now you're just looking for the problem. Sorry man but if you're growing the herb found in the picture below, then I'd probably come up with some wacky drying plan too in order to make it better ;).

I've read a lot about this and would say that you're more than fine water curing it. It's nice to read some of these tips on here from others who have done it. I'm taking notes and look forward to trying that in the upcoming months! =)

Personal attacks aren't permitted on this site and your post has been reported. You should read more, post less, and lose the poor attitude. You have a lot to learn and no one wants to teach someone with a mouth like yours ;). Good luck, you're now on my ignore list.
