i guess anytime now would be a good, im doing my first outdoor grow this year, but from my understanding doesnt matter if you plant now or later they will still finish the same time but the later u leave it the less yield u will get caz it vegged for less time. if there in pots u could induce flowering earlier by only leaving them out for 12 hours and bringing them in at night and putting them in a dark room with no light leaks thats if u were planning on a quicker harvest.

for outdoor plants down melb way you want to plant in early october, you can plant them now, but to me the weather just isnt good enough, your better to go to bunnings get a few clfs and start growing them in a random cuboard for a few weeks to get them a bit bigger before you put them outside to give them a head start in life. What strain did you get, that is dependent on when your plants will yeild, but dont expect anything till atleast feb if you are doin outdoors. Also as to possums they FUCKING LOVE EATING WEED so make a cage around your plant till your plant grows into it, then make a bigger cage, the old cage can stay there and will train your plant a bit and support the weight of it when it gets bigger

that looks like a great clone room, what i experienced with cfls in my first grow is you need to keep adjusting the height, 1 of my colas grew in to the cfl over night
so if your going to veg them for a while and let them get taller it comes down to, would you prefer to adjust the light up and down.... or would you want to adjust the height of the plants using books and stuff, i'd prefer adjusting the lights lol

Doesnt the strain also affect when to plant? White rhino is meant to be able to take the cold which i think i proved over the winter when the little bastards managed to rough it out in 17C days and 5C nights lol.

Hey Hans, how long did it take to get your seeds from Planetskunk - I have been waiting 3 weeks and they are ignoring my messages - emails bounce, messaged through their web site (ignored) sent text (ignored).
the first time i got seeds from planetskunk i waited for 3 weeks and it turned out they got confiscated by customs
if they haven't come in 3 weeks then most probably customs got them
when i did receive my seeds from planetskunk on my next order it took less then 1 week

Hey,

I'm looking to order some seeds online [First time.]
Alot of you have been talking about planetskunk. How offen to customs pick them up? and if they do what is the worst that could happen?

God we need an Aussie seed bank. I know i bought it up only a few pages back but an aussie bank where its a collective effort where we try to share genetics (keep your minds outta the gutter) in order to keep strains strong rather then run them for proffit. I think if we managed to turn it into a hobby targeted at "growing new life" rather than growing to turn a couple bucks it could slowly become less deamonized and may become more appealing to others. I mean if you think about it, the hardest part (well i think so anyway) is getting the seeds to begin with. I say this because the thought of taking the plunge into growing is pretty scary so if we had an aussie based collective to share the knowledge and make it easier to obtain seeds.

Meh just a thought i had. This all said just spent the last few hours sittin in the sun in my garden so feeling very hippy like atm :)

yeah now that would be good, although a little risky sending seeds to anybody that orders without knowing if there the jacks or actual growers
on the plus side atleast we wouldn't have to worry about friggin customs, im good at web designing i can whip up the website for you :p

hahah yer there are MANY obvious reasons why its very much so a case of "easier said than done" and while i would love to make it open to everyone as you said you would want to be sharing this info with ONLY growers which is somewhat problematic (and even then who said growers can't be assholes to get reduced punishment if they get busted?) . If by some pot luck this ever took off there would NEED to be some way to check if the person was an actual grower or not. Which then defeats the purpose of helping noobs (of which i would still call myself) learn to grow.

Just not a big fan of importing biomaterial into our country then have it fuck up our otherwise closed off country ruining the natives.

On a side note, im starting to save up for my new system i plan to use come end of the year/early next year. Going for a Scrog grow in a RDWC system using a 600w MH for veg and HPS for flower. Atm im still a little confused on how to setup a decent RDWC so if you have any pics of your setups it would be most appriciated to share :)

search has Always been fucked
also if ya use sprayers in ya tubs it's Aeroponics
rdwc is just bubbles but I love to use a drip system with it
it just takes the fuck up factor out of it

i posted this in the outdoor section but coouldnt get a reply so i thought i would try my luck here.

i vegged some plants indoor on 24/0 for a month and put them outside to flower about 14 days ago, there doing really well and flowering nicely. right now there is 12 hours from first light to last light. but by the time they will be finished flowering it will hit 13 hours and 40 minutes(approx oct 10). so do u guys think my plants will be fine or will i need to put a bag over them for an hour? indoor ive started flowering after a month with 13/11 and getting good result but im not sure how 13h40m will go. im running canna boost in them (they claim to knock off 1 week off the flowering time) just to hurry them up. i cant bring them inside caz there in 115 litre grow bags

i altered it a bit for myself due to my grow space

the whole hosing setup is mounted to a thick sheet of ply and i made a lil grow table. after mounting the hosing to the top, i screwed 4 legs to each corner. i use the same concept when it comes to the feeder hoses, altho where the main hose (direct from res) splits to the 4 buckets, i have the T fitting thru a hole in the ply straight down into the reservoir.

Doing it this way, i thought would make the drainage flow a lil easier. Also it saves me a bitta floor space with the buckets directly above the reservoir.

i havent gotten as far as installing the drainage holes and hoses because i dont have flexible hosing..i only have some 13mm hosing from Bunnings and it doesnt bend so well. But anyway, the drainage hoses are simply going to go straight over the side of my DIY grow table and into the reservoir. My main feeder hose has to be flexible hosing too because im gonna have to pull the res out every now n then to check ph n ppm

for myself, i wont need the table ready for about a month or so. So im not in any rush at the moment to finish it.

Hope its not too confusing but hope it helps
