The Super Simplist Way To CLONE???????????

Basically you just take your cuttings like you would put them in 20oz plastic cups with good potting soil and soak it in water dosed lightly with rooting hormone and put them under light. He said you dont need rockwool or a dome or any of that stuff. It didnt work for me though i did exactly what he said but no luck idk. Im open to any methods cus i need to get some viable clones going soon before its to late to take them from my OD plants.
 
Well i use a slightly different method but all the same, I have a 12 pod jiffy dome i take 6 cuttings dip in rooting powder, put them in jiffy pucks and water them with a mix of distilled water with a bit of superthrive and thats it. I usually loose 1 or 2 but oh well....
 
A strain I eliminated earlier this year, was really easy to clone. I found this out, one day I was topping them, and threw the cut off tops in a glass of plain old water, and forgot about them. I didn't need any cuttings, at the time, so I put the glass on a shelf in my growroom, with practically no light(except the glow from me setup), and after about 10 days, I took a peek at them and it looked like I had a nice hydro setup going. They had all sprouted huge root systems, :shock: and I never even changed the water, added anything, etc....That was pretty easy.lol
 
Thats all I do - scrape the bottom inch, stick them in water with a CFL or 2 above it, change the water a couple of times and a week or 2 later hey presto, nearly ready for potting up! (with any luck anyway...)
 
all i use these coco pellets there like the peat pellets but coco and they come with a lil humidor. i cut clones and keep moist no rooting hormone and get about 80% survival rate i dont pay much atetion to them either
 
make hole in dirt,take cutting,dip in honey or whatever rooting hormone u got,stick in hole,lightly fill in the hole,put under cfl until you see new growth. then put into your real shit.

how long did you actually leave them in the cup before giving up on them
because to clone directly into soil takes alot longer even upto a month or more, so you should wait that long before giving up on it
most people who clone in soil basically fail because they are not patient enough to wait that long and
want to dig in and check for roots every 2 days and after 2 weeks they see no roots they give up on it,
 
got one for u cant remember were i saw this.......decided give it a go......splitt arockwool block in half soak in clonex, scraped plant stem were id take a cuttin usually,put block over scraped stem then wrap foil round block and wrapped it to hold it and keep out rain etc...did this then to be honest forgot about it looked this week took foil off and walahh its got lovely white roots through the block..just snipp off plant and away u go stress free cutting!
 
you can make yourself an ez-cloner for about $50 everything you need is @ home depot works great and cuts the root time in half. if you anly need a few clones at a time you can make one with a 5gal bucket for about 30
 
Some plants clone well with just in a cup with plain tap water. I shit you not. I've cloned basil and various other herbs that way. Someone on here tried it one time with his pot plant and he said it worked fine. I'm betting though it could vary based on strain.

When cloning remember to cut your trimmings at an angle to get the maximum amount of surface area, also use cloning jell, and a humidity dome.
 
i think possibly the next time im gonna try the glass of water thing. My mom said my nan used to do that all the time too with various flowers. Plus a few people have said that on here. Thanks for all the posts and good info. Much Karma to everyone who posts.
