Napa if you started your seed before Sept 24, I don't think you're eligible for this competition. Your plant looks A LOT older than the rest of ours.
Yeah, so if you go back to the start of the thread you will see i started mine around when the competition actually started. You can go through the thread. I've been here from around the start and KuLong never said anything. He actually kicked someone else out that tried entering an older plant. So unless KuLong diqualifies me, I think I'll stay. And MH is right, it's called 60 Day wonder, it flowers fast. It started flowering at day 13 earlier than any of yours.

I see it now on page 11. My bad, it gets a little crazy in this thread sometimes. Peace.

Hold off if you want to get in round two.

I want to shoot for mid December around the 15th. I don't see a problem if the Cage Matches overlap each other a bit during the curing stages.

WOW, I just did the calender thing.
If (?) all is according to Hoyle,,,, I should be cutting 11 / 26 / 2010. Day after Turkey Day! :bigjoint: Advertised window is +/- 1 week from that date. (Not that it ever means anything here :-P)

PS; Just bought a new microscope for the computer. Hopefully I'll be able to produce some Tric Porn in awhile. :bigjoint:

IMG00230-20101014-0821.jpg Well, we have a problem, Its a dude! What is the point of a feminized seed if there is still a good chance that it will turn out male? Of the 8 regular seeds that I have sprouted recently I have had only 1 male, Of the 2 "feminized" seeds, 1 male. that is some real bullshit.
I said in a previous post that it wasn't fair to change plants late in the contest, so I guess I'm out. that sucks I was having fun with this. But, if everyone will let me switch out my entry, it would be awesome. I will leave it up to Kulong, since this is his contest.

Whoa! That sucks, but all may not be completely lost.
There's an outside chance (still a chance none the less) that it's gone hernie on you(?).
"Never say die", and all, I'd chop the top and hope it comes in flower.
I've noticed that generally, the male balls would come in lower on older growth. Hermies sometimes get balls on newer growth. Thus showing first higher up. (could that of been the after transplant growth point?)
Now as mentioned, the way these willbe judged has not been mentioned. Maybe one of the factors is how one overcomes adversities or plays a hand.
Maybe IF it is a hermie, and you grab some seeds from her, you'd gather some points towards the final outcome?
I'd like to see you continue to grow it. I'd like to see you continue to make something of it if you could.
Food for thought; I was going to give up on the Ugly Betty a while ago and almost went with experimenting with LSTing into a Christmas looking tree since most of this willbe finished around that time. May not be a winner,, but if pulled off it may not be a looser?
After all, this is just for fun. Have some with it. :bigjoint:
At least you'd still be in the game. -LOL
If all the others die, ends up being male, goes hermie, gets bugs, etc. You could become the leader with a fine looking male as top dog. (Honestly hope not, but could happen you know.)

Personnally, I'd continue in a secluded spot and go for the seeds. These are expensive, can't be cloned well. Free seeds at this point doesn't sound all that terrible to me at this point.

Wait..Autoflowers can be dudes?
Not all autos are feminized.
And even if they are it's not a 100% perfect guarenttee. Always a throw back somewhere in the gene pool.
That's why it take a few generations to stabilize a strain and even then it's not perfect.
Mother Nature always seems to find a way to f-up man's involvement. :bigjoint:
That's why I thought the 1 plant / one entry rule was initiated. At least it was a interesting concept from what I was interpreting.

sucks you got a male from a fem pack, yet if it's a hermie toss it, you don't want the seeds. a hermaphrodite parent will typically produce hermie offspring.

Hmmm,,, you maybe right. But it's not the way I've come to understand it.
I need to study up on it some more (along with many, many other things).

I just feel bad for someone coming 1/2 way and have this happen. It was looking soo good too!
If anyone should deserve to get a hermie, It would be me. I've been a bad dad with it all along. :-P:bigjoint:

Here's how breeding goes. If you have a normal male and female and cross them you get normal seeds. If you cross a hermie's pollen with another female's flowers, it should be feminized. If you cross a hermie with itself, there is more chance to have hermie seeds. But yeah as someone said above, if it's a male you can keep the pollen to get some more auto seeds from a female.
