Vi The Republicans put out just as much (if not more) hate than the Democrats do. Go listen to Rush Limbaugh and Michael Medved or Shawn Hanity for that matter.... Have you heard Bill O'Rielly lately.

Let me put it to you this way, My mother (who is 70 and has been a life long republican) says there is absolutely no difference between the two parties. They lick their finger and stick it in the air to see which way the political winds are blowing. She also said in her 70 years, that the Bush Administration is the most corrupt that she has seen in her life time. I bet if they looked at the deals that Bush has struck behind closed doors it would make the "Tea Pot Dome" scandal look like an innocent mistake.

i wasn't trying to put words in your mouth med but the anti-US stuff is really pissing me off. those fools Vi mentioned are on TV spewing out their empty, un-grounded "PULL OUT NOW!!" cry sessions and it's making me sick.

you can hate me and blame me all you want but we should not accept failure when we can succeed and make the world a better place..

7X, it's too late, we've already lost. We can't force democracy on people that can't even spell it. The war in Iraq is a sectarian war between shia and sunni, been brewing for a few hundred years. we went in and broke it and there is no fix. We need to leave as soon as possible and let those idiots get on with their blood feud. The sooner we leave, the less people will die, especially US personel. I've given you the plan and either you've ignored it or misunderstood it. ,A. we pack up and leave, mock schnell. B. we blockade the port and only allow our oil Barrons passage to the pipelines. C we establish a no fly zone and do flyovers to observe if they are trying to outsell the oil and we bomb the hell out of those assholes. We offer them a fair price for their oil and everyone except the US consumer is happy. At least we won't be spilling American blood for oil like we are now

If you think I am against the troops, you are absolutely wrong. It is because I know of these things I speak of ,that I can say Bring them Home. Every jack man one of them would rather be home unless they are some of the crazy mercinary types, there are always a few nut jobs in war, war has a tendecy to make you a little nutty. I doubt very many of the troops that you would bring home would be treated like we were after Viet Nam. Most all thinking persons would consider them heroes, win lose or draw. It's the idiotic must win mindset that is keeping them there. A win for who, Dubya, fuck him, he has already killed enough young Americans for his overinflated cheerleader ego.,.70+%of the American people want the troops to come home and you are calling for them to stay untill we win, you are fucking crazy, just like Your President. I can't understand how you guys sleep at night. I'll bet if it was your ass in Bagdad, you'd be more than happy to call it quits.
i dont know how many people you know who are in or have been to iraq but in my age group i know alot..and every soldier i know or have met or have heard about doesnt want to leave untill the job is done..to come home now would be admitting defeat and i dont know any soldier who wants that.i agree the war was misguided but the thing is we ARE there right now..whether people sit around and complain about bush or how fucked up the country is,the bottom line is we are there and we need to finish the job before we come home.

Here's an Idea, If you are so gung ho about the war, why don't you saddle up and go on over and risk becoming a statistic. My friend, I have been in a war zone, "It aint no fun" . I don't know who you are talkin to but sounds like fasle bravado to me. Sure they are so brainwashed by their superiors that they actually believe they are doing good. The nexus of Army media does not let them have the whole picture. When the Cuban Missle crises was going on, I was stationed in Germany, We were never informed of it and heard nothing but rumors that the soviets might be coming accross the border into germany. I never found out about that untill I got out of the Army. I have also seen interviews of soldiers that tell a different picture than what you've described. They say they are just targets and they go out every day and drive around looking for trouble, eventually, the insurgents find a spot on their routes to lay up an IED and blow them up. Now tell me you'd like that scenario, never knowing when that car parked on the side of the road was going to end your life. We (USA) are involved in the middle of a Civil war that we enabled. Time to leave the fighting to the Iraqis, they either swim or sink. We've deposed the only dictator in the middle East that could keep the lid on (Sadam) and opened the 7 hundred+ year war between the shia and sunnis', time to say Bye-Bye to Iraq. Bring those brave young men and women home. Throw a huge parade and let them know that they are not the losers but the insane regime that sent them is. I support the troops 100%, I just don't support Dubya and his insane money grubbing crew. And yeah, the reason we can enjoy this freedom of speech, is the blood spilled by all the brave servicemen and women, and having put my life on the line for this privledge, I exercise my right of descent. Thanks for listening.

i am not "gung ho"about war..not any war..i was simply saying leaving would admit defeat..i am already in a career or i would join the military..i have many friends who have been to iraq..in fact i have 1 who just went back to iraq in january..while none of them "like"war..the ones i have spoken with believe in their country and their commander in cheif..im sure there are some who dont agree and thats fine..i have respect for all who have put their life on the line to defend my rights..including you med...THE WAR IN IRAQ WAS A MISTAKE..but we cant just pack up and leave now.

why don't you go here and really make a difference:

IAVA - Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America - Troops' Charities

let's bring them home with victory instead of loss. let's give meaning to the lost lives by making it a better world instead of a cauldron of hate. let's be glad we have a president who doesn't wake up and decide what to do based on polls and how likely he is to make money with books and at speaking engagements after his term. let's remember the 3million Viets who died when we ran away and let's question how that impacted the way the world looks at us now. let's tell our troops to win and let them know that we appreciate being safer at home. let's tell them they are doing a great job and they are not a failure. let's quit thinking we're right all the time and just try to not be wrong sometimes.

vietnam geee another war we should have stayed away from good analogy.

how on earth could we treat our troops today as we did then, we were in the midst of cultural revolution. everything was changing drastically worldwide for that matter.

. I'd sure like to put your cowardly ass in Bagdad for a few weeks, you'd surely see the light. Fuck Bush, He's a lame duck wanker, he has done more to fuck this country in 6 years than anyone before him, including Nixon. I hope you two assholes rot in hell for putting the troops in harms way and not letting them come home. I blame you personally for every death that happens to any troops in Iraq from this day hence. Curse you red Barron, curse you.

Nixon = deals with china for shame

Bush = deals with china what no one cares now huh.,....

can we get a patriot in office, a real one instead of a ceo with an agenda. and when you done with cheney theres that bush guy, dumb puppet.

all you need to defeat him is some siscors cut the strings.

just the other day i saw on the news where some cut and run group was spitting on soldiers who just returned from Iraq to their homes...pathetic. Where was that, Iran. I agree with you on the spitting issue. I find it hard to believe in this day and age that anyone would spit on any troops, sounds like a conspiracy theory to me, I would like you to prove it, for if true, those assholes deserve some comeuppance. I certainly don't hold the troops responsible for the war, there is but one asshole that is responsible, Dubya!

This is a juvenile pipe dream....Impeachment is not going to happen....the dems and libs are too busy desperately trying to insure defeat in Iraq.
Yes,7x, I heard about the soldier who was spat upon....not very surprising considering the mindset of the silly protesters....but still disgusting and shameful...

med says...

*lol*
Yes med, I have watched your "descent" to a new low level of ignorance...
I think the word you wanted to use is dissent!
Sorry, I could not help myself!...

this is an empty and trivial article.

why are dems so angry all the time? when a dem gets voted in you don't see this kind of hateful, malignant spew coming from reps.

what makes dems so hateful and angry at everyone not like them?

.................

Because the dem's aren't supported by organised religion, the rep's are. And organised religion should have no bearing on political dictatorship, as it is. SEPERATION OF CHURCH AND STATE ring any bells? Can you say this applied to the Bush administration?

Sorry, I could not help myself!.. When your right, your right. I don't use spell check, maybe I should, but I am still exercising my right to "dissent". Say Mr Wavels, did you do your patriotic duty and don the uniform and go to protect America, or did you do like your illustrious President and hide. I'm just curious, because it seems like the slackers are the first ones to champion war! BTW all the fucking Neocons that started this war never fought in one!
