Okay well here is an update on Mable, she seems to be doing good. The last couple of days I've been tucking some of the larger fan leaves that are preventing light from getting to the side buds. I figured tucking them is better than cutting them off, but I don't really know. Anyways here is a few pics of her. Sorry some of them are blurry. I changed the environment today removing a stand I had them on. Can that affect the plants?

In this pic you can see my AK47xLowryder #2 in the back right and my very slow moving Dinafem Roadrunner in the front right. I thought for sure that Roadrunner wasn't going to make it, but the day i was going to pull her I saw some improvement, so she got a stay of execution.

I hear you. I hate cutting myself. You're taking the same route I would. If need be, I'd rather cut a partial finger or even a whole one as req'd before cutting the whole fan off.Thinking it's looking pretty good to me.

.......... Dammit Canon! You gave me a frekin complex.
:-P:clap: Every once in awhile, a plan comes together! :-P:-P

That's why I mentioned early on that I hoped the winner wouldn't be decided on by strain dependant attributes (or something to that effect).
Measurements of heigth, bud weight, fullness, etc. could very well be more gene relevant than grower's abilities.

Seriously though, I believe you're looking good. You haven't had to scratch or pull out yet. Just looking at the plant, I have no idea of what a SnowRyder should look like (as compared to all the other contestant's choices). Besides, on the most part, we're only 1/2 way in. All sorts of things are possible from here on out.

You're doing well. (But quit stretching it will you? ;-)) - j/k

I have 5 Green O Matic plants from Greenhouse seeds. They are 55 days old now and should be ready to chop down soon. I first tried Nirvana's Auto Bubblicious and it didn't even flower. Here are some pics and a link to my journal. https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/364386-green-o-matic-afghan-kush-3.html#post4807503

I cant say enough good things about this plant real resinous. I use 6, 23w CFLs and a 150w HPS

I have no idea why it is so stretchy. I have kept the light less than an inch and a half at all times.

Also, I am going to stop buying seeds from ShortStuff seed bank. They are not that knowledgeable about their product. I will be going through White Label seed bank from now on if I get more Snowryders.

White Label says:
"Snow Ryder's final height is more or less pre-determined, with most plants finishing around 90-120cm."

Seems nobody knows why shes stretching. Could be anything. I will ride it out see how she develops.
Food for thought (I'm not positive if this is right,, but.....)
Awhile back I did some research on the CFLs. From all that I've gathered, small watt CFLs are much more efficient per watt than the higher wattage ones in lumens. Ie; the smaller watt bulbs give more lumens per watt than larger. From what I understand, 42 watt and under are the bigger bangs for the buck($) in lumen output. I don't have a bulb in house greater than 42 watts. I also try and utilise the 23 watters as much as I can. Having looked at the advertised lumen output, this seems to hold true.
Of course I have no truely reliable proof this is so. But I use the theory.
Also with smaller bulbs you can stretegicly position them better for coverage, or at least I try to.

Just something to look into. The RIU section on CFLs pretty much has this info down to a "T".

Just trying to help a bit. Maybe of use, maybe not. Worth looking into? :leaf:

My 85w CFL's are 55 lumens per watt. That is a total of 4675 lumens per bulb and I have two of them. That is a total of 9350 lumens that are on my single plant.

A 42w CLF produces 2800 lumina. So two would be 5600 lumina which is 925 more lumen (if you do not take the 1w difference into account). So it is true that if I use 4 of the 42w (11,200) I would get more precision and more lumina. However, I think I am covered in the lumen area.

I do not like the smaller CFL's. They break too easy. However, the bigger CFL's keep burning my plants. Maybe I will use an 85w and 2 42w next time. We will see.

I don't really understand this lighting stuff as well as I'd like. So many variables like needed penetration, usable lumins, proximity, colors of walls, etc. Simple spot on rules seem to send my tiny brain screaming, "STOP ALREADY!" - LOL
Like everything else, I try to let the plant(s) tell me what & how. Sometimes I fail to get the memo though. That's when things get ugly.

If it's green it's good. :-P

Nirvana Seeds Bubblelicious Autoflowering Feminized was developed in the Midwest, U.S.A. then brought to Holland in the 90’s and further refined. Bubblelicious grows vigorously and finishes flowering in about 8 weeks. Bubblelicious, also known as Bubble Gum is medium tall plant, producing compact, crystal covered buds. Bubblelicious is highly resinous and extra sweet. Certain individuals actually display that distinct pink chewing gum scent and flavour. Winner of two awards in the High Times Cannabis Cup of 1994, a 2nd place in 1995 and again a 2nd prize in 1999, giving Bubble Gum a total of 4 awards from the judges. It's cannabis seeds are best suited for growing indoors and its THC is strong 15-20%. Harvest month for outside is October and its difficulty growth is moderate.

Update;

Friday I mentioned I was going to try and pull the undergrowth out with side lighting.
Did it. After only 2 days It definately works. Pulled the fan leaves too. Actually right into the bulb and burnt.
I've dropped this down a good 2" since Friday and it needs to be dropped again.
Ugly Betty is making a move. At this rate, come Tuesday I'll have no choice but to LST.

I learned one thing. This cab is not cutting it in reguards to size. Not just heigth, but also in width and depth also. She is also very thirsty (nutes & water).
Next Cage for me will definately be in the flower locker. I'm not sure it'll be available for Dec. 10-th though. Ones in there now are just getting a flower. Looking Sativa dominant,, going to take some flower time. (I'm fairly certain 2 of them have balls.)

you should edit it and add in big, bold letters something like "DON'T POST YOUR GROW HERE UNLESS YOU ARE COMPETING" so they can't miss it

@rickrolled

Please do not post your off-topic grow.

Did you even read the original post and see what this thread was about? Or did you happen to read the post above yours of me telling two others guys not to post their personal grow journals here?

Thank you for your understanding.

I feel like there needs to be this on every page of the thread. People don't seem to want to read.

I cannot edit the front page anymore.

Besides, napa23 is correct...people don't even read the first post.
