8!!! What the F*ck are they putting in your water...bleach!? That is insane. Mine is 7, but still has too much chlorine. And nowadays, depending on where you live, you can't let the water sit out for a couple days and let the chlorine evaporate. They have some chemical in the water that bonds the chlorine molecule and the water molecule together and unless you are a chemist, you cannot get rid of it.

Yea i know right, CRAZY! On a good day, 7.8 lol.. I didn't know that about the chlorine, do you know what effect chlorine would show on plants because from my limited experience they seem to be okay.. Thanks for the info though, good 2 know!

well, I didn't think anything about it either. Someone told me on my grow that the spots on my plant could be chlorine...doubtful though. It was only on one plant. Everything has been fine using tap water so far. I did just start buying spring water from Wally World. Nice job on the grow dude! They look great. My Kandy Kush is looking good as well. I can't say enough about the nutes I am using, they are awesome! What are you using on yours? or what were you using to veg?

I was just using the fox farms grow big for veg nutes. I'm glad to hear your girls are doing good, I probably already asked but do you have a grow on here for them?

ok, here's what i found on chlorine,
Chlorine

Chloride is involved in the evolution of oxygen in the photosynthesis process and is essential for cell division in roots and leaves. Chlorine raises the cell osmotic pressure and affects stomata regulation and increases the hydration of plant tissue. Levels less than 140 ppm are safe for most plants. Chloride sensitive plants may experience tip or marginal leaf burn at concentrations above 20 ppm.

Chlorine Deficiency
Wilted chlorotic leaves become bronze in color. Roots become stunted and thickened near tips. Plants with chlorine deficiencies will be pale and suffer wilting.

Chlorine Toxicity
Burning of leaf tip or margins. Bronzing, yellowing and leaf splitting. Reduced leaf size and lower growth rate.

Hey Smelly, I was thinkin of your old thread... I was doing some gardning today and I put my big bushy Wonderwoman mom in my flower box. I also put a bubblelicious mom in the flower box to!! It's gonna be a good Xmas for me!!!! I had to go back and look at your old thread and do some drooling!! I'll know just before the holidays if mine turn out that KIND!!!! was the smoke(wonderwoman) skunky?

Hey Smelly. I don't really worry about chlorine much honestly. I still usually set it out the water just in case though...lol. I DID however just kill off 5 goldfish the other day because of fresh chlorine water.

What up concord dawn! I'm a south Floridian myself and I know our water SUX! My suggestion is to just buy purified bottle water. It's really not expensive and it gives me piece of mind to know there is no chlorine or God knows what else going in my plants. On the flip side, Before I knew any better I was growing with strait up shitty florida tap water and it never gave me any big problems that I knew of.

My WW came from "the tude". They are the only seeds I paid for and it was about $50 for 5 fems. They sent me 5 additional fems, all different strains, for free. Thats where my KK came from. I love "the tude"! My stuff always shows up quickly from them. I bought from Nirvana one time and when the package finally showed up customs had cut into it, removed the seeds, taped it back close, and sent it on to my delivery address. I paid like $60 for a little stuffed monkey with a zipper in his back but no seeds inside! WTF! It's a lil funny now I guess. lol. My kid still plays with that damn monkey.

I don't know if you read my earlier post about city water, but some areas put a chemical in the solution that bonds the water molecule to the chlorine molecule and no amount of letting it sit will get rid of the chlorine. I don't know how wide-spread this practice is, but it seems safer to use empty containers and fill them up with Culligan (Walmart) for only $0.38 a gallon. Then again, like many others, chlorine doesn't seem to bother my ladies and my area's pH is 7.

hey mass, what up, im not sure what to do about the water yet, i might just fill jugs like free said, its doesnt cost that much and im sure its better than our tap water. its up to you, but threads are way better than journals, and easier for everyone to follow along with your grow. i made 1 entry and said the hell with this, deleted it and just stayed with threads. but its your choice.

well treeZ, my seeds came today, it only took 7 days from ordering to getting them. i did have to sign for them, but no big deal, i know my mail lady good and she just had me sign a card that said i got the package. i wont say what the package looked like or what else was in it to protect herbies, but its not that big of a deal to get them and im real happy with their service. now lets see how good of a grower i really am, LoL. hope the test went well for ya bro!!
