So I will plant my seeds tomorrow. Have a couple questions tho.

I see a lot of people talking about transplanting autos, is this something that should be done or doesnt matter? I generally just start them off in a 3gal pot and keep them in their entire life. Also HPS for full grow or start with MH for a couple weeks then to HPS? Prob go with 20/4 light cycle.

From what I've learned it is best to leave them in their final home for the duration. 3 gallon pots are perfect for Auto Flowers, they tend to like the 18/6 cycle best too from what I've read.

Ive seen a lot of posts about starting in cups and transplanting. Is this the best thing to do with autos? Never done autos but I have always started my plants in a 3gal pot and kept them their throughout the grow. So much to learn about autos =/. This is a good thread but jesus. 535 pages. *was 534 yesterday. I imagine this thread gets about 2 pages a day lol*

I was planning on an outdoor grow and ive been looking at autos because i want it done before i go back to school in september. I want a big enough yield because i have alot of potential buyers and im a steady toker myself. I've been looking into the super autos, anyone have any experience with them? or is the time from seed to harvest too long to really consider?

I only transplant from cups because its easier for me to keep them watered right. Not too much, not too little. If you can start your gals off in your final pot then Im sure that would be the best way. No chance of root bind before transplanting and no chance of stress from transplanting. I also have most of my AFs show sex by about day 14-16, which is when I typically transplant. Saves me from having to any extra work keeping males alive. I also hate filling multiple 1gal or 3gal pots unless I know the plant will be female, waste of time and soil.

So dont think that because a lot of people start in small cups then transplant that its the best way. Its the best for some, but Im sure a plant started in its final container could possibly grow larger and yield more.

My autos are budding, but they are way small. I might impulsively do another order tonight since my yield isn't going to be jack squat. I live in Hawaii and grow outdoors, so I need an auto strain that will flower in January, February or March. Good thing we get strong sun all year round. Name me a fem auto strain from Attitude!!!

Suggestions? Attached is a pic of a Dinafem Haze Auto. Their germ rate sucks ass, and one seedling was deformed, so I won't be going back to them.BUD 11-6.jpg

what organic soil do autos like ?? whats the ingredients in the soil ?

I was thinking soil for them, compost, top soil, peatmoss, blood and bone, epsom salts, sheep manure ??

In my experience, as well as the experience of many others, as well as the Joint Doctor, autos do not require much nutrients. They seem to burn easy and using too much veg nutes seems to mess up their autoflowering as well. Here's what I did and it seemed to work well for me. Keep in mind I grew in promix, which basically is a nutrient free medium, so if you are using something like FFOF or your own "super soil" recipe you might not even need this much. After about 2-3 weeks I fed once at 1/2 strength with veg nutes. By the next feeding they were already fully flowering and switched to 1/2 flowering nutes once a week. I think if I ever grow autos again I'm probably going to skip veg nutes all together.
