I ordered a inline fan from them, they ship really fast. I haven't tried their lights but they seem legit to me.

I use them for everything except soil. They've never done me wrong. Most times I make the order and two days later its here. I've got so many lighters I could go swimming in them Scrooge McDuck style.

HTGS in store brand light only goes up to 400-watts with a magnetic ballast. With only standard features, no upgrades added, $164.95.

The least expensive 600-watt light system was a Digital Greenhouse, digital ballast. With only standard features, no upgrades added, $199.95.

HTGS is a great place to find great deals, including name brand items and not only on the store brand items.

HTGS beats what you called an average price for a 400-Watt hood, ballast and bulbs by a bunch, even the bigger name brands like Lumatek. $274.95 for a Lumatek 400-watt digital ballast and all standard features, no upgrades included in that price.

You've been shopping at the wrong places.

yeah 274 for just the ballast.. i'm well aware that lumatek makes a quality product, but after everything issaid and done, ur spending 400+ on a system with a 275.00 ballast.. unless you DIY the rest (no thanks, ill leave it to the pros) I think i have done a fair amount of shopping, and i think 400 is a fair average.. I'm begging you to please prove me wrong

Ebay-- latest generation of lumatek 600 watt digital ballast (the nice dimmable ones) $178 to my door. Ordered 6 of them :)

If you have the cash, pop for a digital ballast. Completely silent, more light, and the 400 watt for veg and 600 watt for flower ability of the dimmables is fucking money!! (plus you can buy a 400 MH bulb for $25.

good call. i was thinking of turning my grow into 2 rooms. a fluorescent veg room and a hps flower room, but it might make life easier to just have one room and just use the t-5's as an auxiliary side light for veg and flower.
On another note, I'm REALLY gaining more interest in a vertical grow.. weed walls just seem more efficient for small spaces. i've been trying to find a good HID vertical light system that i can just exhaust right out of the top. Any suggestions?

i got a 250 HPS about a year ago from them and have not had one issue.
There was a slight shipping delay, but it was because of stock
to amended that, they sent and extra bulb for free.

Ill use them when i go to my 400 :)

ive bought both of my air cooled hoods+bulb+ballast from htg for about $265 on ebay. ive bought a good amount of equipment from them and shop at their store here in michigan about half the time... here is another place that i will probably start buying my gear online from:

https://www.plantlightinghydroponics.com/

they have real low prices as well, and do good business...

Good prices good people and a decent quality for the price. I have bought a good portion of my gear there and have yet to have a problem. I would say give em a shot they will let you return anything you buy within like 30 days if you don't like it you just have to pay a 15 percent restocking fee. I haven't brought anything back.

I said; "$274.95 for a Lumatek 400-watt digital ballast and all standard features, no upgrades included in the price." But part of the standard features are two bulbs, an HPS and a MH, though I would pay for an upgraded bulb myself, the Mazwing reflector comes as a standard feature ... all that came for $274.95. If you want a CoolTube that's another $35.00 and there's nine more upgrade choices more for reflectors alone.

If someone were prepared to pay $400.00 for a basic 400-watt digital light system, just think how if they bought through HTGS how many upgrades to the standard features could be made using the $125.00 in price in upgrades ... or maybe some or all the savings could do towards better genetics.

But you can purchase a very good complete (not the top of the pops but still more than just respectable) 400-Watt digital MH/HPS light system for way under the $400.00 that was given for average price for a similar system.

Something tells me you did not look very closely at the HTGS site because you seemed to have missed how in some, or many, cases prices shown for whole complete systems, not just for a ballast even though in some cases only a ballast is shown. You have to read and you have to click on more info. Everything will then become clear.

No the $274 is for the ballast, hood, and a bulb. The complete package. Probably a cheap bulb and a small reflector, but that's still a damn good price. I'm actually thinking about picking up the 600w soon myself. It's only $25 more than the 400w.

Looks like they just updated their site and added some new products. I haven't been on there in a couple weeks.

ah i see, my bad on the lumatek thing.. i'm definitely gonna have to check that out.. that seems like a very viable option.. but yes, i've clicked the 'more info' tab on htg products and i understand how that works.. also i never said 400w i said 600w.. also u need to think about the word 'average' .. a few high-dollar light systems would throw the average up.. i didnt say 'average lowest price'

The Maxwing hood that comes with it measures: 19" long x 16½" wide x 6" deep. It's fairly large, but it's open air. not air cooled.

The Free MH & HPS bulbs are store brand and aren't bad but they're not great. Its worth springing for the additional $24.00 and $36.00 to get some quality bulbs.
