The zorb has a 35X magnification. I think I got mine from amazon for around 30 to 32 dollars with free shipping. IMO For the money I think it about the best deal you can get that will produce results like that.

i just looked to the beginning of your thread again. i love your box fan idea to blow cool air upwards. i think i may need to do something like that in my closet, to get better air circulation. and a better exhaust fan. i have a 160cfm intake and exhaust. what kind of hydro do you grow mostly(style like dwc,drip,aero)

I like DWC, but I'm considering switching to an ebb and flow system. Although I'm thinking it's gonna use more water than I care to produce.

Yes , it does use a bit of water. I don't have the room to let water sit out so I have been using these drops that I use for my fish tank called Just Right. I figure if it helps the tank right away , it will be okay for my girls. This is my third grow and no problems so far using it.

Talking about going thru water, I buy 20-24 gallons of distilled water per week. Cost about a buck/gallon, but it's worth it. I also bought a "Pure" water filter for my tap water, knocks down the PPMs to 220-240, but distilled water is like a ppm of 4 or less, so it works great. I dump my rez.-box weekly w/o fail, replenish and rinse the roots for 24 hours. It makes a hell of a difference through-out the grow. After the rinse, then I add my Flora Bloom and Flora Micro, 24 hrs after the boost, my gals look, smell awesome. Thinking of putting in a R/O system after this grow...I just like doing what works best for my grow, so I will continue the same practice...

This is what I use to make my water. It can make 5 gallons of distilled water in 24 hrs and When its finished the PPM is 0 and the pH is 5.6. Just look at all the crap that comes out of just one gallon of my tap water. Depending on the season, during winter my water is around 950 PPM and in the summer it's around 750 PPM. For me it's totally undrinkable. I don't even let my dog drink it. All I use it for is to do laundry and shower.
You can get one on eBay for around a hundred bucks and it would be paid for in a month if you bought 20 to 25 gallons a week.

Yeah you got it, American water distillers. Just do a search for water distiller on eBay and it will come up for sure. The model I have is an older model. They got new ones that will distill quicker than mine. I can distill 1 gallon of water in 4 hrs. So If I stay on top of it I can distill 5 gallons a day.

I had a stand alone ro/di filter it was a 75 gallon per day filter. Gave me 0 ppm water that i used to collect in 5 gallon water bottles i bought from walmart.
Since then i have switched to a distiller since i only have a 4 gallon res to fill.

No not really, it would depend on how much money you are willing to spend. IMO a distiller works just as good as an RO setup. But the RO would probably be a better choice, just for the overall ease of using it. With an RO you just hook it up and let it do it's thing. When you make water with a distiller you have to stay on top to things and get another gallon going after the first gallon has finished. If you forget about it or you go to sleep while it needs changed you could be wasting valuable time if you really need the water.
I was gonna go with an RO but my water pump doesn't have enough pressure to properly operate one. When I was looking into them they all needed at least 45 psi from your water pump to properly operate one and mine has only 35 psi. So at the time I was kinda strapped for cash and just decided to go with the distiller instead of investing in a pressure booster for my pump and then haveing to buy the RO on top of that.
Another good thing about a distiller is you don't have the replace any filters when they get dirty like you do with an RO system.

Shoot, right now I don't have any complaints and I think it's doing an exceptional job. The nice about this bulb is that it does a better job replicating the sun, unlike a regular HPS that only replicates 22% of the sun.
So what are you thoughts so far.

Im a huge fan, especially considering the bulb was made for digital ballists by the guy who made the first digital ballist. Ive also heard that they last much longer and hold better lumen output over multiple grows than HPS. Definitely wont be switching back anytime soon!
