C99 and Pure Gooey DWC SCROG

I really don't know what the fuck is going on with this left side cooler !

The 3 FairLight C99 and the 1 Pure Gooey (in the back) are not taking off like the right side cooler, with 3 Neferti C99 C2 and 1 Pure Gooey (in the back too).

I topped the right side about 4 - 5 days ago at their 4th node.
Still 3.5 weeks before bloom is induced.
I was going to pull the left cooler, but my Lady suggested I leave them.
Some harvest from them is better than none, is what she said.
I guess....................
The discoloration is the plants "eating themselves" for nutes b/c they don't have enough roots in the rez yet !!

aww those poor babies..sorry to see such short of growth..hopefully they spring alive and start growing like crazy once the roots grow more..the right side looks really good! hope that the little ones have super growth soon :)..definitely keep us posted!

You and I both.
If it was just the 3 Cindy's, I'd be blaming the breeder Fairlight, but the Pure Gooey in the other cooler is thriving so it's not Fairlight.
Not the hydroton either, b/c all the pots occupy the same rocks from the same clean bucket.
I only used hot H2O and Peroxide to clean the coolers too, after the Jilly and Chem harvest.
New tubing and stones also !

hmmm that is odd...same room,nutes,lights....think you might have a short in your pump?maybe just so happens its working when you take the top off then goes in and out....cant see any difference between the 2 res's...should have the same results in both...and yeah...2 different strains getting the same results in that res...so its not the breeder....thats damn near the oddest thing ive seen

Have you tried top feeding by hand for a few days? just a thought that's what i do when they seem to be growing slowly. but you're right....weird

I thought about the pump at first, but it's been steady and good.
I have been watering by hand, but just once daily...........sometimes twice
Been too lazy but may have to do it more often.

whats up Flo, i was talking with Beaverhuntr and he says that you use dry kool bloom in your dwc. im at 4 weeks flower right now. in ur opinion do u think it would be a good idea to start in on the dry KB next res change which would make for running it for 3 weeks b4 the week long flush. or just use it for the a week before flush. ive been using the liquid KB since i started flowering. thanks in advance for any help. peeeaaace

Time for a noob question: with your PVC net are you trying to keep all the branches except the main one down? Enlighten please :-)

I start using it at week 4 bloom actually.
I stop around Day 52 for a 9 week strain.
In my 10gals I use 10ml per week.
The scooper is double sided w/ 5ml and 15ml cups.
It also drops my PH quite a bit, and I have to keep adjusting for about 2 days until it stabilizes again.

I try to help when I can.
It's the vibe I get on a persons wording.
I spend most of my time laying in the cut (watching).

Answer : No.

With SCROG, topping is actually the best technique to employ, IMHO.
MOST cannabis plants increase yield by topping ALONE, because of the added growth to ALL the branches below the topped node.

I always have to use some ties on the branches and netting to control it more precisely.
Those branches move (stretch phase) alot, so I use a roll of plant ties from Lowes or Home Depot's garden section.

Now, as each branch tip grows an inch or 2 above the net, tuck it back under the netting into the next hole you want it to grow through.
Fill the netting this way until it's at least half full, assuming a 2 times stretch.
People generally debate the percentage, but it's really strain dependent.
That knowledge only comes from cloning.
You see people that use netting with 3 or 4 inch holes, but those are SOG type grows where the colas need support.
SCROG actually bends and attaches the branches to grow ALONG the netting, hole by hole.
I personally think any netting with larger than 2 inch holes is a waste.
You want a bud site in each hole as you guide the branches thru them.
The buds will stretch and grow above the netting, and there won't be any 2 inch branches on them, get it.
What you'll end up with is basically a bunch of colas growing.
You want to try to keep the top of the canopy the same height too.
