Pretty nice buds there.I was thinking of throwing a dwc in the mix with my soil grows but i think it will be pointless.Im just getting tired of all this dirt buying then getting rid of it..lmao

This is how I feel. Seems like every time I turn around I'm buying another bag. Kind of tired of that and have decided I prefer hydro. I'm going to use the Earth Juice line I think for the hydro going forward as it's supposed to be organic. The new vert that I'm putting together is hydro and the first run under the 1K light on the light rail is going to be soil but hoping to go hydro with it after that.

Those really are some great looking buds too. This should be a good journal.

I'm working on a system where I can add my rootballs to an indoor composter and reuse everything, add my own microbes and shit, all I have to do to get start is get the composter

I'll recommend hydro to anyone that is interested. It's too easy haha, res. checks everyday or so, and res. changes every four days, total weekly work: 15-20min, that's it... I ran waterfarms with FF, and if you run DWC with EJ it'll work great.

Well the only thing i see is that instead of putting one system to hold 4 plants i can fit 6 or more pots of soil thats why right now its soil.But when i do get a 600 watt i will go dwc.Make my own out of rubbermaid totes.RIght now i just dont have the space.But soon i will.

I think the best DWC res. are made from coolers... if I went DWC this would be what I would use because I live in a HOT region:

yeah that llooks good but where im at its mostly cool and the grow room is in the basement so temps really arent a problem
I dont have a walmart in new york its more in jersey of long islaand not in my area so the rubbermaids are more conveniant.

but yeah, my waterfarms were on the brink of getting some rootrot with the heat, I had to keep frozen water bottles in there to cool it down! fucking sucked.

I use Coleman ice chests for reservoirs and they're awesome for it. I'm sure any brand would work well, that's just what I had on hand. For the DWC I used 5gal buckets though. It looked like a little root rot was setting in right at the end but up to the last week or so it was good.
I don't rhinknid get away with buckets in the summer but winter seems to be fine. I have a DIY chiller I made from a refrigerated drinking fountain that I'll use if res temps get out of hand with the next hydro grow.

Nothing exciting yet, the other two bigger girls, and the Cat. Kush are still in the tent... I'm going to flower soon, but I have to get some kind of plastic to close off any light leaks. I fucked my tent up so it doesn't close at the bottom and I don't want to risk it.

I'll try and find something at wal mart or home dept., Idk... There's a plastic for when you're painting and shit but it's kinda clear, and I don't know if they have a nice opaque/white one.

If anyone knows where I can get a visqueen-like substitute let me know...

+1 on this. Don't mess around trying to find a good opaque white plastic. Just get soem black plastic sheeting or the contractor bags from Home Depot or Lowe's. It's thick, strong and light proof. I have boxes of the contractor bags and some the heavy 4mil black plastic sheeting and use them for all kinds of stuff.

Harbor Freight has a website too where they sell tarps cheaper than just about anywhere else and the silver ones are somewhat reflective and will block outside light from getting into your tent. You just have to flip through a few pages until you find a small one but it'll be cheap and will work. I use them to cover my trailer on dump runs so I have a few of the silver and camo ones in something like an 11x15 size.

These two girls are lookin' good, the Cataract Kush (CK) seems to have recovered from whatever it was that was bothering her, she isn't wilted anymore and I thought it was really weird that she always looked good in the morning and wilted as the day got later... the one thing I did was drench her with a spray bottle, because the only thing i could think that was causing the wilt is the previous foliar feed application was too strong..

I also could not find any white plastic, I got the heavy 6mil black plastic... I'm going to get the Canna Bio line (vega, flores, bio boost) soon and I'll probably get some b/w poly as well...

Yeah man, something like that. I don't know exactly what I want to do, but I want to maybe seal off the flowering room and vent to the attic. I guess I'm going to have order my panda film, kinda sucks.

Also, I'm going to purchase the Canna Bio line very soon, and I'm also going to invest in some DM Reverse for my BBS. It seems like the BBS is not recommended to grow indoors, but whatever, she'll be fine and I need to flower her soon, probably in a couple days, because she's getting big and I bet she's gonna stretch like crazy. I also feel like I need to build a scrog for BBS, aahhh so much work to do in here!

Yea I hear ya on the planning and work, I'm getting ready for my next one and its definitely a headache unless you know exactly what your plan is!

I'm actually smoking on some KandyKush that a cut a few days before the big harvest Its dry but didn't have a chance to cure lol, I smoked all the angry and starburst Well everything I kept for myself anyway...

Yea that panda film aint cheap but you shouldn't need to much if your just blocking off one side. You could just frame it out with 2x4's too, thats how I built my box

The 2x4s I need are going to be cheap, probably under 10 bucks, but the panda film is like 30$ for a 10x25 sheet, which is crazy but whatever... I'm actually thinking of getting rid of the tent for flowering and just building a box like yours to have the 400w and 250w hps in there.

I have to get things going because my girls are growing really fast, I had to move the Blue Widow (BW) and another bagseed to the tent, and that makes a total of five plants in the tent, eleven under the t5, and four clones rooting! Shit, I've got a lot on my hands...

t5: OG Kush, SBC, 3 BBS clones, Headband, three or so bagseed, rocklock (male) clone, and a tomato clone

That sounds like a good plan though and that panda film is expensive but its good stuff. Shit I got all my 2x4's, 6 of them for under 20! That box actually turned out to be around 40 bucks in material so it wasn't to bad at all!

One thing I can recommend that I forgot to do like a dumb ass lol... Is put a peace of black duct tape down or similar before you staple. that will help with it ripping but either way you will be good! That stuff is actually very tough!

BTW, about that OG kush. I might be able to get a clone of some #18 og but is that the original OG from RP? How do you like it or is your first time growing it? Sorry if I missed it, so many damn thread my ass forgets sometimes lol.

Yeah man, it's the RP OG. This isn't the first one I've grown, I have one right now at a friends in veg, but I might just let her keep it because it has salt build up and is like five months old already... I've taken like a dozen clones from her and flowered them anyways so I don't mind letting it go, that one was super stretchy, and the one I have now doesn't seem too bad at all.

To be honest man, I haven't tried OG #18 but when I was in Cali I had a few OGs that were dank! They were all different in the high but smelt/tasted similar, and I even had some OG Push (OGK x Purple K.) which was amazing. That's pretty much why I bought this strain when I saw it up because it was just so good... lots of people will tell you that it's nothing like an OGK cutting, which I have never grown, but both are definitely similar smoke...

hah and there's my OGK rant, I guess you can tel I love this strain...
