That was a sweet cfl grow dude, the 70w hps prob helped fatten em up. Are you going to do a journal for your micro grow? I woud be interested in readng it, especially if your mad enough to use the 400w!

SERVER TOWER CASE! dooo it ! 400w HPS w/ cooltube just gonna need big fan behind the PC case like 250-400 cfm to keep that 400watter cool.

Just kidding. If you have 22" and a cool tube I would put a 1k in there. Just flip when the coteledons break out.

4 fans two for the cool tube and 2 exhaust fans (each 80 cfm) with carbons scrubbers, with a passive intake.
going to do a scrog

Debating on weather to play around with some leds or not. I may still add some in.
or possibly some CFL's

I just cant understand some peoples mentality, wtf are you doing trying to put a 400w HPS in a pc case, thats just a fire waiting to happen, make a small box and go 250w hps, thats a little more tangable, a 400w will take up 50% of the room, if you think your going to increase your final yield by increasing the lumens and light intensity in such a confined space, enjoy watching your babies burn like a albino at the beach, im not dissing you out, im offering some advice that will benefit you in the long run, you should re visit your plan and make some major adjustments to be successful. good luck.

I had it laying around... so I figured out i would make a thread.. found out i was indeed crazy and went with a 70w hps i had laying around.. Please read my last post THANKS

Also the 400w would fit in the same cool tube as the 70... but i would have major heat issues.

I know it would be over kill but I have both and no space.

I have a bake a round to make a cool tube and two 120mm pc fans, that push 80cfm each, I think that would cover heat issues.

Then make an active carbon filter to cover over another 120mm pc fan,
with a passive intake.

It is a large pc case, talking 22" high


going to cover the inside in white and it would be a soil grow

whats the point? you will never come close to .9grams a watt in a PC case with a 400w ........why waste your PG&e? easyer to just buy your weed then doing that

I'm goingo go out on the line on this one since no one else will!! Hell no do'nt do it bro let alon e heat issue but before you get close to harvest so many pther things can go wrong just not worth it..

Goto home depot and get you two of the largest tote bins they haveabout 10.00 bucks each and a couple of home depot specials duct fans 19.99 each and youcanhave a very worthy set up and less stress about what could go wrong...Peace
