my magic bud and vanilla kush have pistils and i didnt turn them on 12/12 yet could this be because i went from 24/0 to 18/6 and they think the days are getting shorter already? what the fuck they aint ready for flowering.

they have about 2 pistils on each plant so its not to late to revert to veg but holy crap has this ever happend before to anyone the only other thing i could think of is the lights too far away but they arnt even two damn feet from the bulb and that wouldnt happen anyway would it?
is there anything i should do other than leave em on 24/0 from now on?

is this going to affect yield or potency? please only answer if you are experienced please.

They are just preflowers, nothing to worry about. They will continue to grow until you flip to 12/12 for flowering.

then this one had little white hairs sticking out from what looked like a torn off end of each leaf. its better now, i guess this means its female?
could i trick my bagseed plants into pre-flowering by putting them in my dark closet for 12 hours then re vegging after i determine sex? should i do this now while they only have a few sets of leaves? or what?

I see no plant in there that are even close to showing sex, are you sure you know what a pistil is? Its not the hairs on the stalk either, they come out of the calyx

hight wise if u cant move the light down u can move the plants up - KISS :D

only u will know if they can go closer - temp will tell u what the closest u can go is

1. Plants usually show sex after 6 weeks of veg. Nothing special, well documented, a 2 second search would have shown you it was normal.
2. Your plants are like a two weeks old. They are not showing sex and pistils don't grow out of leaves... Look around the 10th node or later for pre-flowers on plants from seed.
3. The light looks plenty close.
