what's all the white junk on top of the coir?
Its mixed with vermiculite I think.what's all the white junk on top of the coir?
Thanks pal, i've decided to abandon one bulb for the sake of the heat and now its about 90F - 93F. Is there anyway i can fix this problem without having to get rid of this plant? It's nute burn, plain and simple.... The 102 degrees didn't help either.

The Coir has 'nutes' in already. I've abandoned that seed and decided to get 2 cuttings and inserted them in Rockwool. Air circulation is one 120mm pc fan in the top above the lights and one 70mm pc fan in the back with 2 quarter-inch holes in both left and right sides at the bottom, I've had to turn the fan in the back off though as it rises the temps in the room because its mounted in the center of the back with a cover over the inside and the cover makes it suck air from the middle of the box thus pulling the heat from the bulbs downwards not just upwards. If you're talking about the nute burn, give it a light flushing, then quit feeding it for a few days. It'll recover. Then, adjust your feeding accordingly. Sorry, I wish I could be more specific, about the doseage.

Its just gone totally tits up for that one, got 2 cuttings off a mate so going to try and root them, see how they turn out.Okay, then it wasn't fert burn, if you didn't feed them. The coir isn't 'rich' enough on it's own, to hurt young ones. Works on getting those temps down, and you should be okay.
