Honestly? When my body tells me too. It's been a strange ride for the past 3 months not having a daily grind job. For 22 years, I woke up, dressed, drove to work, spent anywhere from 10 to 16 hours there, then come home, turn on the laptop to monitor everything at work. All that and still try to find time for my family and then me. I don't have a routine anymore and even though it's liberating it's still confusing. I've been trying to "tune out so I can tune in." But basically I sleep whenever I sit down and close my eyes and I slip away (sometimes in the middle of writing a post).

I just wrote in someone elses journal that growing Marijuana is "a state of mind". If your mind is in the wrong state, you won't be able to grow good weed. When your brain is in balance, then everything naturally follows. :)

Well what a weekend for you :) probably a smart call holding on 12/12, despite how badly you want to flower :D they do look good, especially Sog1 :weed:

But I have an idea for you. You have 12 plant positions, granted your bottom cabinet is cleared and close to ready to grow in. So you could switch it to 12/12 and get that SOG1 flowering before she outgrows your space while the others recover from the bugs. And as the others are ready you can throw them into 12/12. Plus it will be easier to deal with the larger flowering plants on the bottom level.

Just something for you to chew on while you clean up the remnants of the bug mess.
Yes and I also ref'd 6 soccer matches this weekend too; yesterday in pouring down rain! It was cold, but the field was all muddy and the 10 year old boys playing were in absolute heaven and frankly so was I!! In the middle of the last game and after 51 years, I saw my first perfect rainbow; a full 180* arc with both ends on the ground. Simply amazing!

So Gumball, I believe your mind is beginning to grasp the beauty and full potential of
"The Cabinigerator"
along with the simple beauty of a single, mobile ScrOG'd plant, it's MODULAR!

No real news on the F-13 girls as I wait for all of them to get roots in water. #2 and #3 have exposed roots with #2 in the lead. As far as the rest, if these girls went into shock as a result of all the bad stuff I did to them the other day, they sure have a funny way of showing it. Wanna see?

My Biatch Blue Dream finally has some game on!!! She blasted out root and finally turned upward with an explosion of growth and the purdy white under-sided leaves are all new! I have something to finally push back under the screen!! :hump: :hump: The overhead shots are before/after shots after redirecting the new growth back under the screen.

Next up SOG#1. I call this series of shots "Taming of the Shrew!" Her roots are looking good and I'm hoping she sprouts new feathers up on the top where the bugs ate them away. The sideways shot is one of my favorites as you can see how well I've actually done at turning her from a plant into a vine! Vino anyone? :D In the overhead shots you can see how I'm trying to train all new growth to go towards the empty side and to the middle.

SOG#2 has a bit of "SOG#1-envy" as she does her best to catch-up and overtake her?! Nice roots and what a great profile. If you asked me, she's got a great booty! :hump:

SOG#3 last but not least. Notice the dead bugs on the bottom of the tank and none on the roots? :fire: Also she whipped out a few new feather roots just to show me she cares! The base of the plant is a perfect "Y" split and I am having trouble telling which was the main stem!

By the way, this is the same water in the tanks from before my bug issue. Remember how crappy it looked and look at how it cleared up! Still running full strength nutes.

Are we having fun now? :D

You and me both buddy! :fire: I haven't checked them myself since yesterday noon when I tested and topped them off. I'm doing the "reverse watching the kettle boil" strategy. I want to see a big update myself especially in the top cab which hasn't been checked since the night before...no roots yet.

So I've been keeping busy tinkering. I've also been watching Jorge Cervantes DVD's :) which lead me to order the book as well. They are so fun to watch. On Jorge's advice I've been putting together my "stoner" plant, cabinet and environment checklists, daily and weekly, to get myself into a rythem.

Also on Jorge's advice I've been going through the cab and checking everything making sure it's tight. The segment he did on the "Neglected Grow Room" made me sad to see such unhappy plants. Especially some of the same shit that I normally neglect (like checking electrical wiring from time to time).

I pulled out all of the bulbs and cleaned them all with a soft cloth and alcohol as well as polishing the glass on the cool tubes as well as wiping out the PVC ducting.

As I was checking and pulling on the ducting for the heat exchanger at the AC it came apart. So I redesigned it to run horizontally under the cool air intake before turning it up to the ceiling. The cool air intake now is completely unobstructed and insulated from the heat exhaust. I had picked up a bale of 3 1/2" fiberglass "backed" insulation so I used it to wrap the last 6 feet of PVC ducting and then wrapped the fiberglass with Panda film and taped it all up. :)

I also fixed a separation of the ducting from the external vent on the garage wall which was leaking hot air back in the garage. It was just taped up there. I used one of my 5" PVC drains (used to attach my PC fans) and screwed that to the outside vents and then attached the 4" ducting to that, screwed it down and taped it all up. That should last a month until I check it again. ;)

Lastly I've been doing a humidity experiment. I've moved all of the soaked towels down below the water tank lids and then moved a small fan down there to mix the air up real good before it gets sucked up to the plants. So far the results are good and all plant temps are below 80* and 45-48% RH. Ambient is 38% currently and each cab has 4 wet towels. It's tough living in the desert for veg'ing but once these girls go to flower they are gonna LOVE IT!!

I'll get pictures up later this evening...so hold yer pants on!!:mrgreen::mrgreen:

i am just glad to hear you werent rushing to put out any fires and all is well. That is what I expected, and I need to try my hand at patiently ignoring my crop as well. But with them at so many different stages they need a touch more attention. I am hoping to get this drip system together in the next week or so. I have the pump, but still waiting on some other stuff.

so I am sitting here holding my pants on with one hand, and typing with the other, hurry UP :D

Just for you GB. ;)

Sometimes the most elegant solutions are the simplest. :) Since I have my driver out all the time, I just drilled a hole, plugged in a plastic drywall hanger and then screw through the door into the plastic hanger and the doors cinch up tight...no light leaks OR air leaks. And when the plastic hanger gets munched I just pull it out and put a new one in. KISS!

Full Middle Cab - towels are all dried out. Got some work to do after posting these. It also looks like I need to push down some growth and defoliate a bit. Such a terrible problem to have. I'll do that after I referee tonight and I'll get more pics. Those will be for Daniels in celebration of his testimony today. I hope it went well Brother!!

Top Cab - I guess I'm just going to have to deal with the fact I'm a slow rooter. I think it's the low humidity. Time for some domes!!!

Both Cabs! It took some contorting on the ladder but I got both sets of plants in one shot!! :bigjoint:

Nice looking grow. Some pretty cool pictures in here too. I see you put a lot of design and time into this grow and it shows. Actually, many grows. :)

Good night sweet girls...i'll see you when you awake. :tear:
Did this comment catch anyone's interest? My girls had their first night today!

The light should be back on by now but I haven't looked in. Figured I'd put the pics up I took this morning before getting called out to work! It's always nice to earn money!! :)

I'll try and configure something up tonight. Might be busy with my middle cab though! :weed:

Thanks bro! :peace: :peace:

Doing this and writing about keep me happy and sane. Failure is always an option as long as it breeds motivation to forge ahead and conquer. Thanks for the joining the "team"! :bigjoint:

So you wanna see what they looked like before they saw dark? Daily Update TIME!!!:leaf::leaf::leaf:

SOG#1 got a bit of trim and tuck to do, but she's ready to go 12/12!

And after the trim and tuck. Realize that this is a 14" tall plant bent over and trained to be no higher than 1 1/2". No more training!! Everything that comes up will be a cola!

SOG #2 - She fucking exploded back above the screen! This is so fucking cool!!:blsmoke::blsmoke::blsmoke: Now the part that I'm trying to wrap my head around is "yeah so there's 2" of new growth above the screen, but 2 day old leaves that are 2 1/2" inches long?!? WTF!:mrgreen:

I needed a crowbar to get her back underneith the screen.

Now I'm off to go check on them!!

See ya!

:peace:

They liked the dark! All standing up perky!

I have a nice even canopy!

As far as water, I mixed up a 16L batch of water, treated for chloramine, pH'd at 5.5. I also added a full dose of Cal/Mag which doesn't change between veg and flower recipes as well as a dose of SM-90. But no nutes. I'll just top the tanks off with this water over the next 4 or 5 days. Once the PPMs get taken up, I'll drain and start them on bloom nutes. Does this sound like a reasonable approach assuming the plants are drinking 1.5L per day already and the tanks hold 7L.

The SM-90 may be overkill, but it's stopped those fucking bugs and all plants are sprouting all new sparkling white roots out of the netpots. Since those bugs show up out of nowhere and do their damage long before I spot them, SM-90 will be added to all water going into the tanks.

Even though it's their day, I'm pooped. Night all!

everything sounds and looks great, except

"Now the part that I'm trying to wrap my head around is "yeah so there's 2" of new growth above the screen, but 2 day old leaves that are 2 1/2" inches long?!? WTF!
"

we will never figure that out :D

I was trying to remember how "The Oracle" in The Matrix said it and couldn't remember the word "Noodle". :D

I'm now worried that I actually started too late...they're growing like fucking weed(s)! :leaf: :hump: :hump:

So what changes should I expect to observe over the next few days?

You guys gotta remember this is my first time flowering...so you could say I'm being deflowered, just....

I would expect new growth in the new few days. Looking great bro.
Daniels
Like Daniels said, new growth. I seem to see more rapid veg growth than in veg considering the light difference!! But I havent slowed down on veg nutes. My batches mix up about 7-7-7, give or take with Foliage Pro, ProTekt, and Bloom. I have been feeding like that for several months. trying this new keep 'em green to the end thing, suppose to help with those drying/curing techniques mentioned a few pages back.
